Join now >DeAndre Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1.
Washington had been expected to miss this first game on Monday night, and he’s probably questionable at best for Week 2. Jalen Richard could handle most of the third-down work for the Raiders against the Rams.

Le’Veon Bell did not report to the team ahead of Week 1.
Multiple reports say Bell will not be reporting to the team ahead of the 4:00 PM ET deadline, and the Steelers have already departed for their game tomorrow in Cleveland. Bell is willing to miss at least one game, so there’s really no reason to think he isn’t willing to miss a lot more. For every game Bell misses, he’ll be forfeiting a game check for over $850,000, so he obviously believes he can make up some of this missed money by becoming an unrestricted free agent after the season. Fantasy owners need to prepare to be without Bell until Week 11, which is when he must report to remain eligible for 2019 free agency. Second-year back James Conner has the confidence of the coaching staff and is an excellent fantasy option until Bell returns.

The Saints promoted Jonathan Williams to the 53-man roster.
Williams was a surprise cut by New Orleans after a solid preseason and was then signed to the practice squad, but he’ll be on the roster for Week 1 and should receive some work on offense behind Alvin Kamara. He might be ahead of Mike Gillislee for the primary backup role because Gillislee has just spent a week with the team, but it’s risky to insert Williams in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

The Bengals signed Alex Erickson to a two-year contract extension.
Erickson’s contract was set to expire after the season, so this ties him with Cincinnati through the 2020 season. Erickson chips in on offense and is a solid contributor on special teams, but he’s off the fantasy radar at the moment.

Greg Olsen (back) has been added to the Week 1 injury report.
Suddenly, there’s some concern about the veteran tight end’s status for tomorrow against the Cowboys. Unfortunately, the Panthers play in the late-afternoon games, so fantasy owners must have a backup plan in case Olsen is out for the game. We expect he’ll be ready to go, but be sure to check in tomorrow.

Max McCaffrey has been suspended four games, according to multiple reports.
It’s unclear what McCaffrey is being suspended for, but this could explain why another team has not signed him yet after the 49ers waived/injured him. McCaffrey might have to wait until his suspension is over before someone signs him.

Will Fuller (hamstring) is officially questionable for the season opener.
Fuller was a limited participant in practice all week. While the expectation is that he’ll play against New England, it’s no guarantee. Luckily, the Texans play at 1:00 PM ET, so you’ll know if he’s active or not by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.
