Join now >Josh Gordon is now allowed to participate in walk-throughs.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson says Gordon is on the second stage of the program he’s in. Walk-throughs are a step in the right direction, but it’d be nice if he’s able to get on the practice field in a full capacity soon with the season opener for the Browns just over two weeks away. There’s some talk that Gordon will need to earn his role and might not necessarily play or be a starter in Week 1, but we expect he’ll be in the lineup starting if he gets back on the practice field in a near-full capacity sometime next week. The All-Pro’s talent is immense, and the Browns are going to put him on the field if he’s ready to go.

Jake Kumerow’s shoulder injury is a sprained SC joint, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Pelissero says Kumerow is likely to miss some time, but it shouldn’t keep him out for a long stretch. Kumerow has drawn praise from Aaron Rodgers this summer and has reportedly made plays throughout training camp, so he remains in a good spot as he looks to crack the 53-man roster for Green Bay.

The Jets have signed running back Charcandrick West.
West was recently released by the Chiefs because of the team’s crowded backfield, and it didn’t take West much time to find a new team. The Jets also have a deep backfield, so West isn’t guaranteed a roster spot, especially after arriving so late in the summer. He might be able to work his way into a third-down role, though. However, West is not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Adam Shaheen leaves preseason game with apparent lower leg injury.
Shaheen caught a pass in the flat and it appeared his right foot/ankle took a nasty turn when he was tackled. He immediately limped over to the sideline. The second-year tight end’s night is probably done, but hopefully this injury isn’t too serious. There should be an update on Shaheen later tonight or tomorrow.

Hayden Hurst will miss three-to-four weeks with a stress fracture in his foot, according to Mike Garafolo.
Garafolo is reporting that Baltimore’s first-round pick will get surgery to put a screw into his foot, which is obviously a tough break for the rookie, especially with this news coming on his 25th birthday. However, it sounds like Hurst shouldn’t miss more than a month, so it could have been worse. In the mean time, fellow rookie Mark Andrews could see more action, but Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams will likely handle most of the traditional tight end duties. None of the three will be recommended fantasy options, and Hurst shouldn’t be drafted in redraft formats over the next couple weeks.

Tyler Lockett is sitting tomorrow’s preseason game because of a toe issue.
Lockett sitting is not related to when he was kicked in the shin the other day in practice, but Bob Condatta of the Seattle Times says the toe issue “doesn’t sound like a big deal.” Hopefully Lockett is ready to go for next week’s dress rehearsal game. In the meantime, other receivers will get valuable reps tomorrow night.

The Colts waived-injured quarterback Brad Kaaya.
It’s unclear what injury Kaaya is dealing with, but if he clears waivers he’ll revert to the Colts injured reserve. The 2017 sixth-round pick from Miami will look to get healthy and compete for a backup job in 2019.
