Derek Carr | Retired QB

Derek Carr struggles against the Eagles on Christmas Night.

The Raiders ran a run-heavy gameplan against the Eagles, but it didn’t help lead to much passing success for Carr and the Raiders. Carr was 14/28 for 153 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the loss. The touchdown was a 63-yard deep ball on a double move to Amari Cooper in the second quarter, but the Raiders couldn’t do much else aside from that. Things simply aren’t going well in Oakland this season, and Carr isn’t a recommended QB1 option against the Chargers to conclude the regular season next week.

Braxton Miller | Browns WR

Braxton Miller catches one pass in Texans’ loss.

Miller gained five yards on his lone reception (two targets), and he also returned punts for Houston. The second-year receiver isn’t a fantasy option right now, but maybe he’ll build some momentum toward 2018 with a good season finale next week.

12/25/17 - 08:29 PM ET

Jesse James | Raiders TE

Jesse James doesn’t catch a pass in Week 16.

James was targeted once, but he didn’t catch any passes versus the Texans. The big tight end is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups even in a good matchup with the Browns next week.

12/25/17 - 08:28 PM ET

Justin Hunter | Free Agent WR

Justin Hunter scores on Christmas Day.

Hunter was targeted once against the Texans, but he made the most of it, catching a five-yard touchdown after he got open during a scramble by Ben Roethlisberger. Hunter isn’t a fantasy option, but it’s good to see him make plays like this, especially on Christmas.

12/25/17 - 08:27 PM ET

Eli Rogers | Free Agent WR

Eli Rogers gets four targets in Week 16.

Rogers caught just one pass, gaining six yards in the Christmas Day win. He’s not a recommended fantasy option, even with Antonio Brown out of the lineup.

12/25/17 - 08:26 PM ET

Vance McDonald | Retired TE

Vance McDonald catches four passes in Steelers’ win.

McDonald was used often early in the game by Ben Roethlisberger, catching a couple of big early passes. Overall, McDonald ended up with four reception (on five targets) for 52 yards. Next week against the Browns is an excellent matchup, so the athletic tight end is in TE1 consideration—with major risk—for that game.

12/25/17 - 08:26 PM ET

JuJu Smith-Schuster | Chiefs WR

JuJu Smith-Schuster plays great in Christmas Day win.

The rookie receiver stepped up and played like a number one receiver with Antonio Brown out, catching six of seven targets for 75 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. Smith-Schuster had a long reception of 49 yards, and his touchdown was on a stick-and-nod type of route for 18 yards. The young and exciting receiver will be an excellent fantasy option against the Browns to conclude the regular season next weekend.
