T.J. Yates plays very well against the 49ers.

After starter Tom Savage suffered a bad hit that sent him to concussion protocol, Yates stepped in and played a good game for the Texans, going 14/26 for 175 yards and two touchdowns (both to DeAndre Hopkins). He also added three carries for 31 yards on the ground. Hopefully Savage feels better and is able to get cleared of his concussion soon, but it’s possible Yates remains the starter over the last three games of the season. He’s spent a few seasons with the team, has some playoff experience, and might get a chance to stick around as the main backup for Deshaun Watson moving forward.

Garrett Celek scores against the Texans.

Celek got wide open down the middle of the field for a 61-yard gain before later adding a six-yard touchdown in the flat. Overall, Celek had two receptions on four targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. He’s not a recommended fantasy option, but it’s good to see him making a big impact for his team.

George Kittle catches both targets in Week 14.

Kittle gained ten yards on his two receptions in the win over the Texans. The rookie tight end is just a dynasty league hold for the moment.

Marquise Goodwin goes over 100 yards in Niners’ win.

Goodwin continues to play well as the number one receiver for San Francisco, as he caught six of 12 targets for 106 yards versus the Texans. The speedy receiver had a long of 32 yards in the game, and it was his second 100-yard game of the season. Since Pierre Garcon went down with a season-ending neck injury, Goodwin is now averaging 4.2 receptions, for 86.6 yards per game (with one touchdown in the five-game span). He’s a number one receiver right now, which is leading to very good fantasy value. Though a matchup with athletic rookie cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and the Titans next week could present some issues for Goodwin.

Trent Taylor catches two passes against the Texans.

Taylor gained 11 yards on his two receptions (three targets). For now, he’s only an option in dynasty leagues.

Matt Breida gets 12 carries in Week 14.

Breida’s 12 carries were almost as much as Carlos Hyde (14 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown), but he couldn’t get anything going with them, gaining 27 yards. It looks like the 3-10 Niners might want to give Breida a good amount of work moving forward, but don’t expect him to pass Carlos Hyde for touches right now.

Louis Murphy catches one pass in Week 14.

Murphy’s lone reception against the Texans went for 20 yards. Marquise Goodwin is the only reliable fantasy option at receiver for the Niners right now.
