Join now >Allen Hurns (ankle) did not practice today.
This is two straight missed practices for Hurns, who is dealing with a pretty bad ankle injury and doesn’t appear like he’ll be able to play this week. The official injury report for the game will be released tomorrow, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Hurns was ruled out ahead of the weekend.

The Dolphins are promoting running back De’Veon Smith to the 53-man roster.
Smith is an undrafted rookie from Michigan that led the Wolverines in rushing twice during his time there. While he didn’t get drafted, Smith has some obvious downhill running ability and is also capable as a receiver out of the backfield. He’ll likely handle mostly special teams duties in his NFL debut tomorrow against the Buccaneers, but he’s someone to watch for dynasty leagues.

Alshon Jeffery (ankle) was limited in practice today.
Jeffery probably tweaked his ankle either in yesterday’s practice or today’s, but hopefully it’s not too bad. We’ll keep an eye on his practice status tomorrow—and perhaps more important, the official injury report for the game—but expect Jeffery to be ready to go on Sunday night.

The Broncos promoted tight end Austin Traylor to the active roster.
Traylor is a 2016 undrafted player from Wisconsin, and he’ll be Denver’s backup tight end behind Virgil Green in tomorrow’s game against the Bengals, as tight ends A.J. Derby and Jeff Heuerman are both dealing with injuries and will not play. Traylor isn’t a fantasy option right now, but he’s someone to keep an eye on now that he’s been given an opportunity on game days.

Devonta Freeman (concussion) is not practicing today.
Freeman is reportedly unlikely to play this Monday against Seattle, so a non-participation in the first official practice of the week is not a surprise. There’s still a chance Freeman gets cleared to play against the Seahawks, but if, for example, you’re between him and someone like JuJu Smith-Schuster in tonight’s game, it’s probably a risk to wait and hope Freeman gets cleared. We’ll update you on Freeman’s status tomorrow and Saturday.

The Broncos waived/injured tight end A.J. Derby.
Derby is dealing with a shoulder injury, and his season is now over. Derby’s season ends with 19 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns, and he should have a role with the Broncos again next season with a team-friendly contract.

The Dolphins want to get DeVante Parker back to where he was during training camp.
Parker, who missed three games this season with an ankle injury, hasn’t had a monster breakout performance that the team—and everyone that’s been paying attention—has expected yet. Offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen said the staff met this morning and discussed getting Parker back to where he was in the summer. The five healthy games he’s played in from start to finish (he left early in the Week 5 game against Tennessee after injuring his ankle), Parker has averaged 74.4 yards per game—which would be a very solid pace of 1,190 yards in 16 games. However, Christensen said Parker doesn’t have the “edge” he had during training camp, so it’s clear they’re going to try something to get him going. With many fantasy trade deadlines coming up next week, Parker is a highly-reccomended target as a potentially huge difference-maker down the stretch. This week, he’s a WR1 option against a Bucs team with smaller corners.
