Join now >Drew Stanton has a chance to play this week.
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Stanton has “made more progress than expected” and will have a chance to play on Sunday against Houston. However, Blaine Gabbert took the majority of first-team snaps in today’s practice, so he’s the favorite to be the starter right now. Arians says he’ll probably make the decision on the team’s starter by Friday. Whoever is under center shouldn’t affect the fantasy value of Larry Fitzgerald and others in the receiving group too much.

Marqise Lee is off the injury report.
As usual, Lee has been a limited participant in practice throughout the week, but this time he’s not on the injury report for the game. Lee will be ready to go against the Browns in a potentially snowy Cleveland, and he should offer a high floor even in the windy and cold conditions.

Case Keenum will remain the Vikings’ starter in Week 11.
Despite the two bad interceptions that raised some cause for concern, this was expected after Keenum threw four touchdowns and played outstanding for most of their win against the Redskins last Sunday. Teddy Bridgewater is still waiting in the wings and could hit the field at any moment, but the Vikings are wise to stick with Keenum while the team is on a role like this. Facing his former Rams team (which is currently 7-2) this Sunday, Keenum playing another solid game would likely make the Vikings confident to keep riding the hot hand as long as they can. Consider Keenum a solid QB2 for Week 11.

Allen Hurns (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 11.
Hurns didn’t practice all week and his ankle injury is one that could be a multi-week injury. Talented rookie Dede Westbrook could have a huge role in his first NFL game with Hurns ruled out. Consider Hurns on the doubtful side of things for Week 12.

The Bills benched Tyrod Taylor.
Buffalo has dropped two straight games and new starter Nathan Peterman played well at the end of Sunday’s blowout loss to New Orleans, but this is still a surprise. Taylor has a 10:3 TD/INT ratio this season while completing a career-high 64.2 percent of his passes and seemed to be playing quarterback very well for the 5-4 Bills. It’s looking like the Bills are very likely to get out of Taylor’s contract after the season, as they appear set to move forward with their own guy, whether it be Peterman or someone else. Taylor would likely receive a lot of interest if he were to become a free agent this offseason.

Blaine Gabbert will start Sunday against the Texans.
As promised by Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, he made a decision today. Drew Stanton is dealing with a knee injury, and Gabbert received most of the first-team snaps in practice, so this was the expectation. Stanton does have a chance of being active as the backup behind Gabbert, but if not it’ll be Matt Barkley handling backup duties. Gabbert played very well during the preseason, and he has some sneaky potential in deeper leagues against a Texans defense that’s been lit up on a few occasions this season.

Nathan Peterman is now the starting quarterback for the Bills.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott just announced that the rookie will get the nod this Sunday against the Chargers. While Peterman played very well at the end of Sunday’s blowout loss to the Saints, this is a bit of a surprise considering they are 5-4 and Tyrod Taylor has played very well this season. Perhaps they believe the pro-ready Peterman will move the offense more consistently than Taylor did, and this comes after a two-game losing streak after a 5-2 start to the season. There’s certainly a chance Peterman doesn’t start every one of these last seven games (and possibly in the playoffs), but if he does it gives the Bills a chance to get a good look at him heading into 2018.
