Join now >Giovani Bernard gets two touches in Week 9.
Bernard carried once for -1 yards and caught one pass (on one target) for -5 yards. It appears the Bengals are going to give rookie Joe Mixon almost all the touches in the backfield, so Bernard doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters.

Rob Kelley scores twice versus Seattle.
The Seahawks basically shut down the running game of the Redskins—except for at the goal line, as Kelly converted twice for touchdowns. Overall, Kelly had 14 carries for 18 yards and two touchdowns in the game, so fantasy owners will certainly take the scores. Look for the Redskins to commit to the run again versus Minnesota next week, but Kelley will likely need more chances at the goal line for a big fantasy day.

Joe Mixon scores in first career start.
Mixon worked as the clear leader in Cincinnati’s backfield with Jeremy Hill a healthy scratch, and the rookie carried 13 times for 31 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 15 yards. The score was on a sweep from the shotgun, a seven-yarder that was Mixon’s longest run of the day. A higher yardage total, especially against a defense that’s been soft against the run, would’ve been better, but it was still a solid day for Mixon. He’ll remain a good option against the Titans in Week 10.

Trent Taylor caught two passes for 22 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals.
Taylor has a reception in every game this season, but he isn’t a fantasy option.

D’Onta Foreman leads team in carries as Texans fall to 3-5.
Foreman rushed 11 times for 37 yards, but he wasn’t a factor as a receiver. The rookie was out-gained 57 to 37 on the ground by Lamar Miller, but Miller surprisingly received just 10 carries in the loss. Foreman’s rest-of-season outlook probably improves the more Houston loses, and he might be worth a look as a FLEX option in a great matchup next week against the Los Angeles Rams.

John Brown catches 52-yard pass in Week 9 win.
It came on the first play of the game and was his only reception of the game. “Smokey” might be hurt by Carson Palmer’s absence more than anyone, so he can probably stay on the waiver wire outside of deeper leagues until if/when Palmer returns. The Cardinals host the Seahawks on Thursday night.

Bengals don’t do much offensively against Jacksonville.
Andy Dalton was 10/18 for 136 yards in the loss. Cincinnati lost top receiver A.J. Green in the first half, as he was ejected for fighting Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, so that obviously didn’t help. Dalton gets an easier matchup on paper against the Titans in Week 10, but he’s not a highly-recommended fantasy option.
