Join now >Andre Holmes catches one pass in Week 9.
Holmes’ reception went for 16 yards, as it was on an in-breaking route for a first down. With Kelvin Benjamin set to play in Week 10 after missing tonight’s game because he just arrived with the team a couple days ago, Holmes may see his role decrease. He’ll be a contributor for the Bills, but Holmes is not a recommended fantasy option.

Cam Newton does damage as a runner in 20-17 win over the Falcons.
Newton was 13/24 for 137 yards, no touchdown, and no turnovers. He made up for lack of passing production by doing work with his legs, though, as he rushed nine times for 86 yards and a touchdown, a nine-yard leap in the second quarter. Also, we’d expect a stat correction to call a Christian McCaffrey rushing touchdown a pass from Newton to McCaffrey, as a triple-option flip looked to clearly be forward. While he still is having serious inaccuracy issues, Cam is a high-upside QB1 every time he’s on the field. Carolina will look to improve to 7-3 against Miami on Monday Night Football in Week 10.

Jordan Matthews gets eight targets in Bills’ loss.
Matthews again worked as an underneath target for Tyrod Taylor, catching six passes for 46 yards against the Jets. Late in the first half, Matthews did lose a fumble with the Bills were driving down the field, as he accidentally hit the ball out with his own arm. New acquisition Kelvin Benjamin will be in the mix at receiver next week against New Orleans, but Matthews will likely remain in the same role for the Bills. He’s a low-upside fantasy option that doesn’t need to be on rosters.

LeGarrette Blount gets nine carries in Week 9.
Blount gained 37 yards on his nine attempts versus the Broncos. It’s difficult to be 100% sure, but it appeared he might’ve missed a couple of holes in the game. With the addition of Jay Ajayi (eight carries for 77 yards and a touchdown) and the emergence of undrafted rookie Corey Clement (three touchdowns), it’s possible Blount’s role moving forward won’t be big enough to be a fantasy factor in 2017.
11/6/17 - 11:19 AM ET
Nick O’Leary catches four passes against the Jets.
O’Leary gained 51 yards on his four receptions, and he had a nice catch of over 20 yards on a crossing route where he went up and snagged the ball, but he then fumbled and turned it over to the Jets. If Charles Clay (knee) is out again next week, O’Leary would be a streaming option versus New Orleans.
11/3/17 - 12:03 AM ET
Taylor Gabriel catches three passes in Week 9.
Gabriel caught three passes for 56 yards while also adding a three-yard carry in a loss to Carolina. Gabriel had a long of 40 yards in the game, as he caught a slant route and turned back after he caught it before darting up the sideline. He’s on pace for 40 receptions, 490 yards, and two touchdowns this season, so Gabriel doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters.
11/6/17 - 01:23 PM ET
Zay Jones scores against the Jets.
Jones left the game with his hyperextended right knee and then appeared to have trouble with it after he returned, but overall he had six receptions (on seven targets) for 53 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came on an in-breaking route in the second quarter, and he did a ‘Star Wars’ lightsaber celebration with teammate Andre Holmes after. The rookie receiver gets the Saints next, but Kelvin Benjamin will likely become the best fantasy receiver of the bunch in a run-heavy offense.
