Join now >Shane Vereen sees just three touches in loss to the Rams.
Vereen caught three passes for 14 yards. He did not record a carry. If he wasn’t on the waiver wire before, he belongs there now, as Vereen could even get going in a game that New York lost 51-17. The Giants are 1-7 heading into a matchup with the winless 49ers.

Pierre Garcon is out for the season with a neck injury.
49ers GM John Lynch just said on KNBR radio that Garcon will be sent to Injured Reserve, so his season is over. Garcon suffered a neck injury in last Sunday’s game against the Eagles, but it wasn’t known to be this serious. It’s still unclear what the exact injury is, but hopefully it’s not too serious and Garcon can be 100% and ready to go in 2018—likely with new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo under center. Garcon’s season ends with 40 receptions for 500 yards and no touchdowns in eight games (though he sat out most of the Week 8 game while dealing with this season-ending injury).

Jacoby Brissett throws for 300 yards, two scores in 20-17 win over the Texans.
Brissett was 20/30 for 308 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also rushed twice for 12 yards and lost a fumble. The 23-year-old will be Indy’s starter for the rest of the season after Andrew Luck was placed on IR last week, so he has seven more games to continue to impress. Brissett probably isn’t a recommended streaming option against the rested Steelers in Week 10.

Kelvin Benjamin will not play tonight against the Jets.
Multiple reports just came out ahead of the active/inactive list set to be released in just over ten minutes, and Benjamin will not be active for the game. Considering he just arrived with the team after being traded from Carolina on Tuesday, this isn’t surprising. The Bills will have their usual cast of characters tonight versus the Jets, and none of them are highly-reccomended fantasy options. If you want to play a Bills receiver, Jordan Matthews is likely the safest bet for fantasy points. Benjamin should be ready for Week 10 against the Saints.

Rhett Ellison caught two passes for 21 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Rams.
It was Ellison’s first receptions since the beginning of October. A great blocker at the tight end position, Ellison isn’t a fantasy option.

Devonta Freeman (abdomen/shoulder) was limited in practice today.
The Falcons already said Freeman would be limited in practice to start the week, and it looks like it’ll continue through tomorrow. There isn’t much concern about his status, but Freeman might end up listed as questionable when the official injury report is released tomorrow—and he could end up playing less snaps than usual if his shoulder gives him issues on Sunday versus the Panthers.

Carson Wentz throws four touchdowns as the Eagles improve to 8-1.
Even without top tight end Zach Ertz, the Eagles basically did whatever they wanted to the Broncos in their blowout win. Wentz was 15/27 for 199 yards and four touchdowns, bringing his passing touchdown total to a league-leading 23 on the season. Two of the touchdowns came to Alshon Jeffery, another to Trey Burton on a back-shoulder throw for 27 yards, and the other to Corey Clement on a screen for 15 yards. Entering the bye week, Wentz is in the top three for MVP according to everyone, and he’s been an elite fantasy quarterback. He gets the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 11.
