Join now >DeShone Kizer has been named the Browns starting quarterback.
Kizer was benched for the second time this year in Sunday’s loss to the Titans, and now they are going right back to him this week against the Vikings in London. It’d be really interesting to find out whose decision it is to keep starting Kizer, as he’s shown some major immaturity off the field along with his struggles on the field. The dominant Vikings defense is clearly the top D/ST fantasy option for Week 8.

Tanner McEvoy catches long pass in Week 8.
McEvoy was ran a go route from the slot and it appeared another receiver for Seattle was right in the area, but McEvoy caught it for a 53-yard gain and his only reception of the day. His role isn’t big enough to put up consistent numbers, so McEvoy isn’t a recommended fantasy option right now.

Jordan Reed leaves game with hamstring injury.
With under two minutes to go in the second half, Reed came up and grabbed his hamstring after running a route. He went over to the sideline and appeared to be getting looked at by a trainer, and it didn’t look great. He’s officially questionable to return, and this leaves the Redskins with only Vernon Davis as the healthy tight end, as Niles Paul is out after suffering a concussion earlier in the game. Reed had one reception for five yards so far in the game.

Allen Hurns gets four targets in Week 9.
Hurns caught three passes for 31 yards in the Jaguars’ win over the Bengals. Through eight games, Hurns is on pace for 58 receptions, 752 yards, and four touchdowns. Right now, Marqise Lee is the preferred fantasy option of the Jaguars receivers.

Breshad Perriman (concussion) was limited in practice.
Perriman missed Sunday with a concussion, and it appears he’s headed in the right direction for Thursday night against Miami. The official injury report for the game will be released tomorrow, and Perriman will likely either be questionable or off the injury report (if he gets cleared from his concussion).

JuJu Smith-Schuster explodes in Sunday Night Football debut.
Smith-Schuster caught seven passes for 193 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown where he caught a pass over the middle and outran three defenders to the end zone. On the play, JuJu set a record with four touchdowns before turning 20-years-old, and he still has some time to extend the record next month. Through eight weeks, the rookie is on pace for a 48/848/8 line, and he has a good chance to improve those numbers after essentially making people forget about the inactive Martavis Bryant after his breakout performance. If he’s available, Smith-Schuster needs to be picked up in all fantasy leagues.

Zach Miller has a disclosed kneecap.
Bears head coach John Fox announced this after the game. While it’s possible knee dislocations can heal within several weeks, this might be a very bad one with more damage. David J. Chao, MD (A.KA. @ProFootballDoc on Twitter), who is almost always spot-on with his injury analysis, says the injury is “career threatening” and best case would be season-ending. We just need to hope and pray Miller is able to make a full recovery at some point.
