Join now >The Lions claimed quarterback Brad Kaaya.
The former Miami Hurricane was drafted in the sixth round this year by the Lions, and now he’s back with them after a stint with the Panthers. Detroit clearly likes Kaaya, and he should stick around for the remainder of the season and into 2018.

A.J. Green scores in Week 8.
Green caught a touchdown on an in-breaking route in the end zone where he beat man coverage. Overall, Green caught three of eight targets for 27 yards and a touchdown, so the touchdown saved his fantasy day in what would’ve been a disappointing game against a beatable Colts secondary. It’ll be interesting to see Green against the corners of the Jaguars in Week 9. Though he should be downgraded slightly in a tough matchup, you shouldn’t be scared of keeping him in your lineup.

The Packers placed Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) on IR.
Rodgers just had surgery yesterday and this was a formality. There’s a chance the great signal-caller is brought back late in the season as a designated to return player, which would be awesome to see. In the meantime, Brett Hundley will be the starter for the Packers and will look to help lead the team and Rodgers’ absence. If you are extremely desperate for roster space on your fantasy team, you can release Rodgers; but we recommend keeping him for a potential appearance in the fantasy playoffs if you can.

Chester Rogers catches both targets in Week 8.
Rogers was only able to gain nine yards on his two receptions, and he’s not a recommended fantasy option at the moment. He’s still a fine bench hold in dynasty leagues, though.

The Panthers released quarterback Brad Kaaya.
The sixth-round 22-year-old rookie from Miami will land on his feet somewhere, though the Panthers were a good spot for him with a chance to develop and eventually become Cam Newton’s backup.

Breshad Perriman (concussion) is active against the Dolphins.
He’s cleared of his concussion and back after missing one game. With Mike Wallace (concussion) out for the Thursday nighter, Perriman will work as the number two behind Jeremy Maclin. Perriman could have a big game, but he has a low floor and is not among the most-reccomended fantasy options this week.

Allen Hurns goes over 100 yards against the Colts.
Hurns caught five of eight targets for 101 yards in Jacksonville’s Week 7 win, with his long reception going for 50 yards. This was more of the big-play ability we’ve seen from Hurns in the past, and the Jags hope he’ll keep it going as they continue to deal with having no Allen Robinson (ACL) in the lineup. The Jaguars have a bye next week before facing the Bengals in Week 9.
