Sterling Shepard (ankle) was limited in today’s practice.

Two straight limited practices for Shepard means he’s headed in the right direction for Sunday. The ankle injury he suffered was described as mild, so it’d be surprising if he didn’t tough it out and give it a go for a team that is hurting at receiver without Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall.

Virgil Green catches one pass in loss to the Giants.

It went for 24 yards. Green isn’t a fantasy option as he splits playing time with two other capable tight ends.

Ravens fall to 3-4 as Vikings limit them on offense.

Joe Flacco was beat up by Minnesota’s defense throughout the day, taking five sacks in the game and not having much of a running game to help him out. Flacco was 27/39 for 186 yards and a touchdown, as he played about as well as you can hope while dealing with having two of your top three receivers (Jeremy Maclin and Breshad Perriman) inactive for the game and then having other top receiver Mike Wallace leave very early in the game with a concussion. Overall, Flacco’s stats are not good this season, but the blame certainly cannot be placed on him, as others around him need to step up, including the offensive line. The Ravens need to hope for some of the receivers to get healthy and make some big-time plays for Flacco on Thursday night against Miami.

Davante Adams caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Saints.

Adams and the offense was clearly struggling in Brett Hundley’s first start. Fortunately, they get the bye week at a good time to figure things out. Adams will be more of a FLEX than WR2 until further notice, though. The Packers will host the Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 9.

Russell Shepard gets three targets against the Bears.

Shepard caught two passes for 20 yards. He’s a valuable part of the offense for Cam Newton behind primary receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess, but Shepard’s role isn’t big enough to be a reliable fantasy option.

Shane Vereen gets one carry in Week 6.

Vereen gained four yards on his only attempt and surprisingly wasn’t involved in the passing game. Eli Manning will probably look his way in some games over the rest of the season, but he’s not a reliable option in Week 7 against Seattle.

Taiwan Jones catches clutch pass in Week 7 win.

It was an 11-yard pass to help make for an easier game-winning field goal by Steven Hauschka, and Jones’ only touch of the game. He’s not a fantasy option, though he does face his former team in next week’s matchup with the Raiders.
