Cooper Kupp catches both Week-3 targets.

The rookie receiver appeared to get less playing time than Tavon Austin, but the Rams mixed in their receivers throughout the game. Kupp had 17 yards on his two receptions, and he ran a double slant with Sammy Watkins at the goal line that led to a touchdown for Watkins. Kupp should put up bigger numbers against the Cowboys in Week 4.

Derek Carrier catches lone target in Week 3 win.

Carrier gained 17 yards on his reception against the 49ers. He’ll be more of a help in real life than for your fantasy team.

Tavon Austin gets three touches in Week 3.

Austin received a good amount of playing time in the win over the Niners, and he worked as the backup running back behind Todd Gurley with Malcolm Brown out. He did not catch any passes, but Austin had three carries for 14 yards in the game. He nearly had a touchdown on a jet sweep that he took for eight yards, but he was tackled just inside the one and it was overturned after it was initially ruled a touchdown. He did also fumble a punt that led to a 49ers field goal. Austin plays the Cowboys in Week 4 but won’t be a recommended fantasy option.

Garrett Celek catches one-yard TD in 49ers’ Week 3 loss.

Celek caught a touchdown by the goal line while also drawing another target by the goal line that arguably should’ve been defensive pass interference. The veteran tight end probably won’t deliver any consistent fantasy value in 2017.

Marquise Goodwin catches deep ball in Week 3.

Goodwin caught two of five targets for 62 yards in a loss to the Rams. He made a very nice jump ball catch on a 50-yarder from Brian Hoyer on a pass that looked like it was going to be intercepted with two defenders near Goodwin. The dynamic receiver is more of a real life contributor than fantasy contributor right now, but he will look to have a big game in Week 4 against the Cardinals.

Rookie receiver Trent Taylor scores first-career touchdown in Week 3.

The 5’9″ receiver from Louisiana Tech showed his ability from the slot, catching three of four targets for 32 yards and a touchdown. He nearly scored another touchdown after his first, but he was brought down right at the goal line. Taylor did have a drop late in the game, but it was on a pass that didn’t look like it was going to go anywhere. Taylor is more of a dynasty option than standard league option right now.

Pierre Garcon plays excellent game in Week 3.

Garcon had a difficult matchup, facing off with Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson for most of the night, but he had a huge game for the Niners, catches seven of ten targets for 142 yards. Garcon made some unbelievable catches and picked up some huge chunk plays throughout the entire game. He made quite a few highlights in the game, but his best play was probably on a 59-yard reception where he got behind Trumaine Johnson and stretched his arms out to reach and snag a deep ball from Brian Hoyer. In Week 4, Garcon has a tough task facing Patrick Peterson, but he’s still in definitely in the FLEX conversation as the number one in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.
