Join now >Cam Newton looks rusty in season debut.
Newont was 14/25 for 171 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed six times for three yards. Cam missed most of the offseason and preseason as he returned from shoulder surgery, but he displayed poor accuracy on Sunday, including missing a couple wide-open receivers on would-be touchdowns. Fantasy owners are hoping Newton uses his legs more starting next week against the Bills. He’ll be a solid QB1.

Kyle Juszsczyk gets three touches in Week 1.
The offensive weapon had one carry for no yards and two receptions (on four targets) for 17 yards. He left briefly with an injury but thankfully was able to return to the game. The former Raven will likely score some touchdowns this season, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option.

Matt Breida gets four carries in Week 1.
The undrafted rookie from Georgia Southern picked up 11 yards against the Panthers. He’s simply a handcuff right now, but it’s good to see the undrafted rookie as a number two back during his rookie year.

James White gets 13 touches in opening game of the season.
White had ten carries for 38 yards and three receptions for 30 yards against the Chiefs. It’s clear the Patriots trust White, and he’s the clear lead receiving back for the team. Dion Lewis returned kicks and had two carries and zero receptions in the game. In PPR leagues in particular, White offers a solid weekly floor as someone Tom Brady and Bill Belichick trust on offense.
9/8/17 - 12:50 AM ET
Tyler Higbee caught two passes for 17 yards in the team’s convincing victory over the Colts.
Higbee doesn’t need to be rostered on an offense that had three good wide receivers. Los Angeles will host the Redskins in Week 2.
9/11/17 - 02:25 PM ET
Tyrod Taylor throws two touchdowns in Bills’ Week 1 win.
Taylor was 16/28 for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against the Jets. He also added eight carries for 38 yards. Both of Taylor’s touchdown passes were one-yarder—one to Charles Clay and one to Andre Holmes. Taylor has a difficult matchup against a Panthers defense that’s looking to bounce back this season. He’s not in the QB1 conversation for Week 2.
9/11/17 - 10:09 AM ET
Gerald Everett catches one pass in NFL debut.
It went for 39 yards in the Rams’ 46-9 win over Indianapolis. Everett can probably be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues, but he’s a tremendous asset in dynasty leagues. The Rams play Washington next.
