Join now >The Chiefs re-signed running back C.J. Spiller.
The team officially put Eric Berry on Injured Reserve and brought back Spiller after cutting him hours before Thursday night’s season opener against New England. Spiller was cut twice in the last several days, but he should stick around longer this time. It’s unlikely he provided much fantasy value with Kareem Hunt as the clear workhorse in Kansas City’s backfield though.

Deonte Thompson gets two targets in Week 1.
Thompson caught one pass for 15 yards against the Falcons. He did also fumble, but it was recovered. Thompson, who returned two kicks for the Bears and appears to be their primary kick returner, will probably help the Bears in real life more than he’ll help your fantasy team.

Le’Veon Bell says he’s ready for whatever workload the Steelers give him this week.
Despite missing the entire preseason, Bell says he’s been training hard and will be ready for whatever the team wants from him, whether it’s “30 carries” or “10 carries.” It’ll probably be close to or exceeding 30, and Bell is locked in as an elite RB1 for Sunday’s game against the Browns.

Ben Roethlisberger was 24/36 for 263 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in Sunday’s season opener.
Roethlisberger did most of his damage throwing to Antonio Brown, as the two connected on all 11 of their targets for 182 yards in the 21-18 victory over Cleveland. Big Ben hit Jesse James on both of his scores, which were from two and four yards out. Roethlisberger plays at home next, but it’s against the Vikings elite pass defense. He’ll be a low-end QB1 at best.

The Colts waived running back Matt Jones.
Indy needed to elevate guard Adam Redmond to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and waived Jones to make room. The talented former third-round pick won’t have trouble finding another team, and the Bears had reportedly also put a claim on Jones when the Redskins initially cut him. There could be a match there.

Josh Bellamy catches three passes in Bears’ Week 1 loss.
Bellamy caught the first of his three targets for 27 yards, but couldn’t quite come up with the fourth target in the end zone on Chicago’s final drive of the game. Bellamy had to dive for it and the ball went off his hands, but it was not an easy catch. With Kevin White likely done for the season with a broken collarbone, so Bellamy should continue getting opportunities for the Bears. He probably won’t become a consistent fantasy option, though, especially with Markus Wheaton (finger) due to return soon.

Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) did not practice today.
It’s only Monday, and this is nothing to get alarmed about. Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said Beckham is getting treatment and they’ll “see how he responds.” McAdoo also added that they’ll play him if he’s cleared and they’ll hold him out if he’s not. If Beckham doesn’t practice all week then it’ll become a concern, but expect him to be out there for Week 1 versus Dallas.
