Jonathan Williams rushes for 21-yard touchdown in preseason finale.

Williams rushed 10 times for 53 yards and the score, getting the start with LeSean McCoy and the other starters resting. The 23-year-old has been really impressive this preseason, and he probably will get some work behind Shady in the regular season. He’s an intriguing name to keep on your bench as handcuff, especially in what figures to be a lost season for Buffalo.

A.J. McCarron plays most of Bengals’ fourth preseason game.

McCarron was 20/30 for 216 yards, with three carries for 14 yards, in exhibition against the Colts. Barring terrible play or an injury to Andy Dalton, McCarron might not throw another pass this season; but he’s probably hoping he can get somewhere else in 2018 and have an opportunity to start. McCarron will be 27-years-old in a couple weeks.

Brad Kaaya was 12/20 for 182 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Lions’ preseason finale.

Kaaya came in behind Jake Rudock and threw for both his scores in the fourth quarter. The sixth-round pick should be the third quarterback for Detroit behind Matthew Stafford and Rudock.

Dede Westbrook goes off again in Jaguars’ fourth preseason game.

Westbrook was dealing with a core injury that kept him out of the team’s third preseason game, but he was back for the final week of the preseason and looked great, catching six-of-nine targets for 115 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a 43-yarder on a go route where he beat the corner deep. In three preseason games, Westbrook had 13 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns, including two touchdowns over 40 yards. The dynamic rookie from Oklahoma might be too good for the Jaguars to keep him off the field, and he might be the third receiver behind Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee.

Jamaal Williams carries 11 times in Packers’ final preseason game.

The rookie from BYU had 31 yards on his 11 carries, adding a six-yard reception. The Packers likely wanted to get Williams a good amount of work in the game to get him ready for the season, as he’s expected to backup Ty Montgomery to open the year. Williams will mix in and get some playing time with Aaron Rodgers and the first team in Week 1 versus Seattle.

The Jaguars released running back DuJuan Harris, according to Adam Schefter.

Harris had only about ten days with the Jaguars after signing out August 20, and Jacksonville has a crowded running back group. There should be teams interested in signing Harris to fill a backup/reserve role over the next few days.

Corey Clement gets a few carries in Eagles’ fourth preseason game.

The undrafted rookie from Wisconsin had four carries for 16 yards and one reception for -2 yards in the exhibition against the Jets. He started the game and came out after some brief time. After impressing in all facets of the game this preseason, Clement should have a roster spot on the Eagles.
