The 28-year-old receiver is looking to make the final roster and remain on the Bears for a fourth straight year.

Patriots give Jimmy G a lot of playing time in first preseason game.

Tom Brady and the starters didn’t play, so Garoppolo played into the second half of the game. He was 22/28 for 235 yards and two touchdowns. It’s obvious Garoppolo will be starting somewhere in the NFL someday, but it might not be in New England with Tom Brady looking like he’s not even close to done.

Kenneth Farrow rushed twice for 15 yards in Sunday night’s game against the Seahawks.

Farrow started the final two games of 2016 when Melvin Gordon went down, but he recorded just 67 yards on 24 attempts (2.79 yards per carry) and did not score. With Branden Oliver healthy behind Gordon, Farrow doesn’t have fantasy value to start the season.

Dede Westbrook catches touchdown in first career preseason game.

It was a 42-yard reception in the third quarter against New England. The touchdown was Westbrook’s only reception of the game, but it showed his ability to get behind a defense with his speed. The former Heisman finalist Westbrook has a chance to emerge as a weapon in his rookie season.

Jordan Howard plays a few snaps in opening preseason game.

Howard had three carries for four yards against the Broncos. Chicago probably isn’t going to give their offensive centerpiece a ton of work this preseason, as he should have a big workload during the regular season.

With the Jags adding some receivers this offseason, the 2015 fifth-rounder from Florida State is battling for a roster spot in his third season.

Tarik Cohen carries seven times for 39 yards in Week 1 of the preseason.

“The Human Joystick” showed his electric ability, as the rookie also returned a punt for 17 yards. Though normal number two Jeremy Langford was out for the game, Cohen worked as the second running back and he’s certainly going to mix in this season.
