The Colts officially activated Michael Pittman Jr. (leg) from injured reserve.

This was expected, and the rookie receiver will be back in the lineup tomorrow against the Lions as the Colts come off the bye. Pittman had missed the previous three games with his leg issue.

The Lions signed Jonathan Williams.

Williams was on Washington’s practice squad, but he now joins the active roster for Detroit. The Lions are very deep at running back, and Williams is not a recommended fantasy pickup in standard-sized leagues.

Carlos Hyde (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

Hyde appeared in line for a start to begin the week, but he is now unlikely to play, while starter Chris Carson (foot) actually has a decent shot at suiting up with a questionable tag. Unfortunately, those who placed a priority on Hyde just a few days ago can probably drop him already.

Chris Carson (foot) is officially listed as questionable for Week 8.

Carson was expected to miss some time with his foot injury, but he’s going to have a chance to play in this Sunday’s NFC West matchup with the Niners. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll expects the bruising runner to be a game-time decision. The bad news for fantasy owners is that the Seahawks don’t play until 4:25 PM ET, so you might need a backup plan from the later games if you are planning to use Carson in your lineup.

John Ross (illness) requests trade after being listed as doubtful for Week 8.

In response to a report that the organization isn’t sure he likes football, Ross basically said it’s the coaching staff he dislikes, not the game. At this point, it would be a surprise if Cincinnati kept Ross on the roster through next week’s trade deadline, but it’s unclear what kind of compensation they will be able to get from him with the rest of the league knowing he’s disgruntled. We think Ross is a dynasty buy-low.

Jamison Crowder (groin) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday.

Crowder did not practice today, and Jets head coach Adam Gase said that it was not looking good for him to return this week. Crowder hit the practice field yesterday, and it apparently did not go well. He’ll likely be ruled out on Sunday morning.

Alshon Jeffery (calf) has been ruled out for Week 8.

Jeffery hasn’t seemed particularly close to making his season debut, and knowing the mystery that often surrounds injury issues in Philadelphia, there is no guarantee he will be ready to go following the Week 9 bye.
