Join now >Sam Darnold leaves game with apparent shoulder injury.
Darnold was thrown down on a sack and his right throwing arm side hit the turf extremely hard. FOX announcer Troy Aikman, who broke his collarbone during his career and says he knows what it feels like, speculates that it might be a broken collarbone for Darnold. Regardless, former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco is now in the game for the Jets, and it doesn’t look likely that Darnold will return. Before leaving, Darnold was 6/8 for 51 yards along with three carries for 57 yards including an excellent and shocking 46-yard touchdown run.

Chris Carson (knee) officially remains limited in practice.
Two straight limited practices presumably puts Carson on track to play this Sunday versus the Dolphins, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the final Week 4 injury report when it’s out tomorrow.

Allen Lazard (core muscle surgery) is out indefinitely.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Lazard underwent the surgery already. Lazard is coming off a career-best 146-yard performance in Week 3, so this is very bad timing for the former undrafted receiver. We hope to see Lazard back on the field later this season, but his timeline is up in the air.

Phillip Lindsay (toe) is officially inactive for Week 4.
There was hope that Lindsay would be ready to go tonight against the Jets, but the Broncos are holding him out on a short week. Melvin Gordon will again carry the load in the Denver backfield. Lindsay should have a good shot to play against the Patriots in Week 5.

Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is officially active for Thursday night.
Crowder posted a 7/115/1 line in the opener, so this is a big boost to an injured Jets offense tonight against the Broncos. Crowder is in the FLEX mix—with some risk—in his first game back in the lineup.

Scotty Miller (hip/groin) remains out of practice.
Things aren’t looking good for Miller’s chances of playing this Sunday against the Chargers, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the final Week 4 injury report to end the week.
10/1/20 - 06:22 PM ET
Leonard Fournette (ankle) officially did not practice today.
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is not optimistic about Fournette’s chances of playing this Sunday against the Chargers, so the powerful running back would probably do well to be listed as questionable on the final Week 4 injury report when it’s released tomorrow.
