The Colts are signing Darius Jackson to the practice squad.

With Marlon Mack done for the season with an Achilles injury, Jackson will help provide more depth at the running back spot for Indy, with the ability to get called up to the active roster if necessary. Jackson is off the redraft radar for now, though.

Michael Thomas is expected to miss several weeks.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport report that Thomas’ high-ankle injury “is worse than originally believed and he’s now expected to miss several weeks.” The report adds that Thomas will “surely try to defy that timeline”, so we’ll see what happens in regards to a potential trip to injured reserve, which would force Thomas to miss at least three games. Consider the star receiver week-to-week. This is obviously a big blow to both the Saints and fantasy squads that spent a high pick on Thomas this summer.

The 49ers are signing Mohamed Sanu.

The 49ers are hurting at receiver, and head coach Kyle Shanahan just talked about how highly he thinks of Sanu, so it’s not a surprise that this deal came together. It was speculated that San Francisco was looking into acquiring Sanu from Atlanta last year before New England swiped him via a second-round pick. Sanu will bring a strong veteran presence to the receiving corps, and it won’t be a surprise if he delivers fantasy value in 2020.

The Titans waived Cody Hollister.

If Hollister goes unclaimed, he might ultimately land back with the Titans on the practice squad again at some point. Hollister does not need to be held in dynasty leagues.

The Texans placed Kahale Warring on injured reserve.

Warring will now miss at least the next three games while on injured reserve. This is a tough break for a young player looking to emerge, but the Texans are fortunate to be very deep at tight end.

The Jets placed Denzel Mims (hamstring) on injured reserve.

After missing Week 1 with another hamstring injury to his other leg, Mims will now miss at least the next three games while on IR. The second0round rookie receiver only needs to be held in dynasty leagues.

The Jets signed Kalen Ballage to the active roster.

Ballage was previously acquired by the Jets before a failed physical sent him back to Miami, but now Ballage is back with his former coach Adam Gase in New York to help pick up the slack following Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) landing on IR. Ballage isn’t a highly recommended fantasy pickup just yet, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.
