Join now >The Raiders have placed Marcus Mariota (pectoral) on IR.
Mariota will miss at least the first three weeks of the season, but hopefully he can get healthy to backup Derek Carr by Week 4. The former No. 2 overall pick is worth a stash in superflex leagues.

The Colts have placed Trey Burton (calf) on injured reserve.
Burton went down last month, and there hasn’t really been much of an update on his status until now. The veteran will miss at least the first three games of the season, so he’s currently not a recommended stash on a crowded offense.

The Patriots are signing J.J. Taylor to their active roster.
Taylor reportedly showed well in camp and he immediately gets a shot on the 53-man roster with Damien Harris (hand) on injured reserve. For now, Taylor is just a recommended fantasy pickup only in very deep leagues.

The Patriots placed Damien Harris (hand) on IR, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Harris will now miss the first three games of the year, which is unfortunate after he impressed in camp. Now, Sony Michel is suddenly a tremendous value in the middle of fantasy drafts, and Rex Burkhead should see a boost in snaps this month.

The Lions are placing Bo Scarbrough on injured reserve.
Scarbrough will be out for at least the first three weeks of the season, but he can be activated after that thanks to the new COVID-19 rules allowing for players to return off IR after three weeks. Scarbrough is off the redraft radar with Adrian Peterson now in Detroit.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone thinks Ryquell Armstead will be out “a while”.
Armstead is on the reserve/COVID-19 list for the second time, and he’s missed a ton of practice time this summer. The second-year back is an intriguing player that could offer fantasy upside whenever he hits the field, but the Jacksonville running back group will presumably enter the season with a full-blown committee approach.

The Jets are putting Jeff Smith (shoulder) on injured reserve, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Smith will be eligible to return in three weeks, and with how thin New York is at receiver, he’s at least a name to keep in mind for fantasy purposes.
