The Eagles are signing Josh McCown to the practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

McCown—like all veteran players—is eligible for the practice squad with this year’s rule changes for COVID-19, and he will be able continue serving as an experienced voice in the quarterback room.

The Giants have released Corey Coleman.

Coleman seemed to have a good shot at the No. 4 receiver role, so we’ll see if he ends up being brought back when other roster moves are made. The former first-round pick missed all of last season with a knee injury.

The Chiefs signed Matt Moore to the practice squad.

Kansas City is taking advantage of the COVID-19 rules allowing for veteran players to sign with the practice squad, and they’ll basically keep Moore as an emergency third-string option behind Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne this season.

Josh Rosen is signing with the Buccaneers practice squad, according to NFL Network.

Rosen apparently declined opportunities to join an active roster because he felt Tampa Bay was the best spot for him, so we’ll see if he can revitalize his career learning behind Tom Brady.

The Bills are signing Jake Kumerow to the practice squad.

Just 17 players were claimed off waivers today, so many guys released yesterday will have to settle for a practice squad spot for now. Kumerow is off the redraft radar.

The Steelers are waiving Duck Hodges.

This was expected after Pittsburgh claimed Josh Dobbs off waivers. Hodges was a fan-favorite with the Steelers last season, and he has playing experience under his belt. If he doesn’t land with another team, expect him to land back with the Steelers on the practice squad.

The Giants claimed Damion Ratley.

Ratley has spent the first two years of his NFL career in Cleveland. He’ll initially provide depth for the Giants receiving group, so he’s off the redraft radar for now.
