Join now >The Steelers cut Ryan Switzer.
Switzer was said to be having a good summer, but the Steelers are going in another direction on roster cut day. The former North Carolina receiver has been dealing with a recent injury, so perhaps he’s a guy that will be back in the mix with Pittsburgh when he gets back to 100%.

The Steelers released Trey Edmunds.
If he goes unclaimed, Edmunds is a strong practice squad candidate. The Steelers have a deep running back group on the active roster.

The Steelers cut Paxton Lynch.
The former first-round pick was in a tough spot to earn a roster spot in Pittsburgh with Ben Roethlisberger now healthy. Lynch shouldn’t have much trouble finding another team, but he might have to settle for the practice squad to start the year.

The Saints are waiving Garrett Griffin.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero says New Orleans plans to sign Griffin to the practice squad, but the tight end first has to clear waivers. Griffin is not a must-hold even in extremely deep dynasty leagues.

The Lions are cutting Isaac Nauta.
The Lions will likely try to get Nauta on the practice squad if possible, but another team may claim him. For now, Nauta is off the fantasy radar.

The Rams have waived Bryce Perkins.
Los Angeles is going with John Wolford as Jared Goff’s backup, but Perkins could stick around by signing with the practice squad. Unfortunately, viewers haven’t been given much of an inside look at roster competitions on ‘Hard Knocks’ this year.

The Jaguars have waived Terry Godwin II.
Godwin II could be a candidate for the practice squad. The former Georgia standout hasn’t gotten a shot in the regular season yet, but the talent is there for him to eventually work his way to an active roster.
