The Panthers have waived Reggie Bonnafon.
Bonnafon was the No. 2 back behind Christian McCaffrey last season, but a new coaching staff likely preferred the power that veteran Mike Davis brings. The second-year back will be a candidate for the practice squad if he’s not claimed.

The Jaguars are cutting Joshua Dobbs.
Jacksonville is cutting two veterans in Dobbs and Mike Glennon, which is somewhat of a surprise. The Jags might bring Dobbs back at some point, but the bright former Tennessee quarterback should find a landing spot this year regardless.

The Jaguars are releasing Mike Glennon, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Glennon signed in the offseason for a chance to compete for the No. 2 job, but the team is going with rookie Jake Luton behind Gardner Minshew. It will be interesting to see what the market is for quarterbacks over the next few days with COVID-19 possibly changing how rosters are constructed compared to normal years.

The Lions are releasing Jonathan Williams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Williams made a name for himself last year with the Colts in spot starts for Marlon Mack, but he is again looking for a new home with the Lions going with other options at running back. Kerryon Johnson and rookie D’Andre Swift should dominate touches in Detroit.

The Jets have waived Jehu Chesson, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
New York had a couple of roster spots up for grabs at receiver, but they are going in another direction. The former Michigan standout could be signed to the practice squad if he isn’t claimed.
