Join now >The Lions are waiving Chris Lacy, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
A bunch of NFL teams are making rosters cuts today ahead of tomorrows 4:00 PM ET deadline. If Lacy gets through waivers, the Lions will likely look to bring him back on the practice squad.

The Eagles have waived Caleb Wilson.
Wilson was looking to make the team as depth at tight end, but the former UCLA standout will now seek another opportunity.

The Jaguars placed Ryquell Armstead on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Armstead has now been placed on the COVID-19 list twice this summer, so it’s a bit of a peculiar situation. The second-year back is now in doubt for Week 1. Armstead had already missed a chunk of time this summer.

The Bills placed Patrick DiMarco on injured reserve.
DiMarco’s season is over, and it’s tough luck for a player hoping to contribute to a contending team. This doesn’t have a huge impact from a fantasy perspective.

The Cardinals released Hakeem Butler.
This is a bit of a surprise, but Arizona is extremely deep at receiver and has opted to part ways with the 2019 fourth-round pick. Butler was seen as a first-round prospect by some last year before slipping to the fourth round, and he’s someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues in particular as he looks to land in a good situation.

The Rams have waived John Kelly.
Kelly was at one point grouped in with Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson, and Malcolm Brown when Sean McVay discussed the running backs this summer, but he didn’t end up making the team and could either sign elsewhere or return on the practice squad. This move could be good news for the status of Henderson (hamstring) in Week 1.

The Buccaneers are releasing Dare Ogunbowale, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With the team signing Leonard Fournette, Ogunbowale got caught up in the numbers game, as LeSean McCoy will apparently make it as depth behind Ronald Jones II and Fournette. The former Wisconsin standout shouldn’t have trouble finding a new home, but it’d be a surprise if he carried fantasy value in Week 1.
