Join now >The Dolphins release Samaje Perine.
Perine is a talented runner, but he’s struggled to find an opportunity for consistent playing time in the NFL since his rookie year in 2017. The former Oklahoma Sooner is still just 24, and he should find a new squad soon. A team like the Eagles could be in the mix for Perine after not adding any runners during this weekend’s draft.

The Patriots have signed Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke.
Lewerke has a strong arm and played in a pro-style offense for the Spartans, so the Patriots should have something to work with as a developmental quarterback. In his first year as the starter at Michigan State, Lewerke had a 20:7 touchdown-interception ratio, but the final two years were plagued by overall offensive struggles for the team as a whole. We’ll see if New England can unlock his potential for what looks like a wide open quarterback room after they didn’t draft a signal-caller behind Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer on Day 3.

The Saints are signing Taysom Hill to an extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter says it will basically be a one-year extension on the restricted free agent tender New Orleans gave Hill last month, but the bottom line is that he is now under contract with the team through the 2021 season. With former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston also joining the quarterback room this season, it will be very interesting to see what Sean Payton’s plan is for the position when Drew Brees retires.

The Saints are signing Jameis Winston, according to Charles Robinson.
Winston—the former No. 1 overall pick of the division rival Bucs—waited until after the draft to sign and will fill a role similar to Teddy Bridgewater in 2019. The move should allow Taysom Hill to continue operating as an offensive weapon without fear of getting hurt and leaving New Orleans vulnerable behind Drew Brees, while Jameis will get a year to learn behind one of the best to ever play quarterback. If he ever sees the field due to injury, Winston would be an immediate QB1.

The Giants are signing Benjimin Victor.
Victor was probably hurt by his 4.6 40-yard dash time, but he’s six-foot-four with strong ball skills and contributing regularly as a sophomore, junior, and senior on one of the top teams in the nation in Ohio State. The Giants are lacking some size at receiver, so perhaps Victor can win a role as a target that can high-point balls with his plus height and great wingspan.

The Seahawks are signing Washington tight end Hunter Bryant.
Seattle has an incredibly crowded tight end room, but the good news for Bryant is that he stays in the area after playing for the Washington Huskies. Bryant didn’t test quite as well as expected at the Combine, but he is an athletic tight end that averaged 16.4 yards per reception (on 85 grabs) in three years for the Huskies. Bryant will likely start his NFL career in a limited role if he makes the Seahawks roster in 2020.

LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss is signing with the Redskins.
While Moss must have been disappointed not to get drafted, he lands in about the best spot possible in terms of getting immediate playing time. Moss, who was a productive member of LSU’s record-breaking championship offense last season, is the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. The Redskins don’t have a clear locked-in starting tight end at the moment, and it’s not inconceivable that Moss becomes the clear top option there in 2020. Hurting Moss’ draft stock was a Jones fracture in his right foot that required surgery after it was revealed during his combine physical.
