Join now >The Falcons are releasing Devonta Freeman, according to NFL Networks’ Ian Rapoport.
Atlanta also released top cornerback Desmond Trufant this morning, as the team is clearly in cap-saving mode ahead of free agency. This move has been somewhat expected, and now the Falcons will be in search of a new starting running back this offseason. Freeman just turned 28 years old yesterday, and he should draw a good amount of interest on the open market.

The Eagles agreed to sign Nate Sudfeld to a one-year deal.
While veteran Josh McCown kept the second-string job behind starter Carson Wentz last season, Philadelphia is high on Sudfeld as a backup option. We’ll see what happens with McCown, but Sudfeld is the favorite to backup Wentz in 2020.

The Chiefs are picking up Damien Williams’ option, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This was about the easiest decision ever on a contract option for a team, as Williams is coming off another excellent end-of-season stretch in which he arguably should have won Super Bowl LIV MVP for his championship performance. We’ll see what else Kansas City does at the running back position this offseason, but Williams should lead the Chiefs backfield in 2020.

The Giants are expected to sign Levine Toilolo, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Toilolo is a big target at six-foot-eight, but he’ll likely mostly contribute as a run blocker and secondary option at tight end for the Giants. From a fantasy perspective, this probably won’t be a huge impact move.

The Titans have signed Ryan Tannehill to a new contract, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It’s reportedly a huge four-year, $118 million deal with $62 million fully guaranteed for Tannehill. The ratification of the NFL’s new collective bargaining agreement seems to have sparked a new contract getting done between Tannehill and the Titans, as Tennessee will now likely use the franchise tag to ensure superstar running back Derrick Henry cannot test free agency. Tannehill had an excellent year for the Titans last season, throwing 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions while averaging 9.6 yards per attempt in a big-play offense that took advantage of play-action passes. Now Tannehill will have a full offseason as the starter in an offense on the rise with young stars like Henry and second-year receiver A.J. Brown. This move obviously rules out Tom Brady to the Titans.

The Texans have agreed to terms with Randall Cobb, according to James Jones.
Jones—who was a teammate of the veteran receiver in Green Bay—says it’s a three-year, $27-million deal, which is a very nice contract following a bounce-back campaign in Dallas. Cobb will step right in as a big piece for Bill O’Brien’s offense, and he seems like a good fit with Deshaun Watson’s game. If the team doesn’t add a big-time receiver in April’s draft, Cobb could have a strong case for mid-round value entering his age-30 season.

The Falcons signed Keith Smith to a three-year contract extension.
Atlanta wants to run the ball more moving forward, and Smith figures to be a big part of that as the team’s fullback. From a fantasy perspective, Smith is off the radar, but he’ll help lead the way for Devonta Freeman or whoever headlines the Falcons backfield in 2020.
