Join now >Tevin Coleman is in the concussion protocol.
Coleman must have had concussion-like symptoms following last Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, and hopefully he’s feeling better soon. Coleman needs to fully clear the NFL’s concussion protocol to be able to play in Week 14.

Washington is signing Jonathan Williams to the active roster.
Williams had been on the Giants practice squad, but he’ll now get a 53-man roster spot for another NFC East team. Washington already has J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson on the roster behind Antonio Gibson, so Williams should settle in as the No. 4 runner with a role on special teams.

Washington is placing Logan Thomas (knee) on injured reserve.
Thomas is fortunately not dealing with a torn ACL, but the injury is significant enough to end his season (this is the veteran’s second placement on IR). Washington will now rely on Ricky Seals-Jones and rookie John Bates at tight end the rest of the way, and RSJ—currently dealing with a hip injury—in particular can be back on the TE1 map if he can get healthy. For Thomas, his season ends with 18 receptions, 196 yards, and three touchdowns in not even five full games played, so he will have a definite case for top-12 value in 2022.

Justin Watson has been designated to return from the PUP list.
Watson would provide more depth at wide receiver if he’s eventually activated, but his main contributions would likely come on special teams. Tampa Bay currently has Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, and Breshad Perriman as the main wideouts behind Chris Godwin and Mike Evans with Antonio Brown serving his three-game suspension.
12/8/21 - 10:32 AM ET
The Saints waived Kenny Stills.
Stills had a key drop in last Thursday night’s loss to the Cowboys, so that might have something to do with this move. Stills obviously has familiarity with the Saints, so there’s a chance he’ll land back with them on the practice squad soon if he doesn’t sign with another team.
12/7/21 - 04:53 PM ET
The Browns are placing David Njoku on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Njoku is now in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Browns, but this coming early in the week at least gives him a slight chance of being cleared if he can get two negative tests. If not, Austin Hooper’s outlook would be boosted as a TE2 play, and this would be a definite blow to Cleveland’s offense.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is undergoing arthroscopic hip surgery, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says this will help Fitzpatrick heal but ends his season. The veteran quarterback unfortunately played in just one game before the hip subluxation after being brought in as Washington’s starter during the offseason. Taylor Heinicke has taken control at quarterback for Washington, and Fitzpatrick is almost certainly headed elsewhere in 2022 assuming he wants to continue his career.
