Samuels gained a team-high 73 yards on his 13 catches versus the Colts, setting a single-game team record for receptions by a running back (breaking Le’Veon Bell’s record of 12 receptions in 2017). However, Samuels added just eight carries for ten yards on the ground, with Trey Edmunds mixing in and taking a goal-line opportunity (which did not convert), rushing 12 times for 73 yards—including a 45-yard run—overall. Samuels also lost a fumble in the Steelers’ win, but he was inserted back into the game. If James Conner (shoulder) remains out moving forward, Samuels clearly has strong fantasy value; but his upside will be slightly capped with Edmunds mixing in more than expected on the ground.

Damien Williams leads Chiefs’ backfield in Week 9.
Williams carried 12 times for 125 yards and a touchdown along with two receptions for three yards in Kansas City’s win over Minnesota, and he had the highlight of the game with a 91-yard touchdown run where he made a man miss in the secondary before getting past a diving attempt at his feet and zooming to the end zone on a run right up the middle. LeSean McCoy (three carries, nine yards) started the game for the Chiefs, but Williams dominated the backfield work like he did toward the end of last season when he performed like one of the top players in the league. Things could change with the backfield split given Andy Reid’s love for McCoy, but Williams needs to be owned in all fantasy leagues if he’s still somehow available.

Ryan Izzo (concusison) is active for Week 9.
Izzo has missed the previous two games with a concussion, so it’s good to see he’ll get back out on the field tonight versus Baltimore. Izzo is not a highly recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Marquise Brown (ankle/thigh) is officially active against the Patriots.
Brown was expected to return to the lineup for tonight’s big matchup, but there was some concern after he did not practice on Friday. The dynamic rookie receiver has obvious big-play upside, but he’s difficult to trust in Week 9 fantasy lineups against New England’s elite defense.
11/3/19 - 06:52 PM ET
Julian Edelman (chest/shoulder) is officially active against the Ravens.
Edelman continues to be listed as questionable on the injury report, but he has not missed a game this season. Edelman is a WR1 option for Week 9.
11/3/19 - 06:51 PM ET
Rex Burkhead (foot) is officially active for Week 9.
Burkhead was listed as questionable entering tonight, but he was expected to play after making his return to the lineup last Sunday. Burkhead is tough to trust in fantasy lineups, but you could do worse than a good player mixing in on one of the leagues’ top offenses.
11/3/19 - 06:51 PM ET
James White (toe) is officially active for Sunday night.
There was some concern about White after he was listed as questionable on the Week 9 injury report, but he’s good to go for tonight’s matchup at Baltimore. White has been remarkably consistent this season, with in between 9.0 and 10.7 half PPR fantasy points in every game this year.
