Join now >Sterling Shepard has cleared the concussion protocol and will play in Week 9.
The Giants play on Monday night, so Shepard getting cleared is great for both him and fantasy owners that potentially had a decision to make. In a game with shootout potential, the Oklahoma product will immediately be back in the low-end WR2/FLEX conversation against Dallas. Week 9 will be the first time all the skill-position players for New York are healthy and on the field together.

Patrick Mahomes (knee) is officially questionable for Week 9.
The expectation is that Matt Moore will make another start, but Mahomes not being ruled out is great sign, and Week 10 seems like it could be a very realistic return date. If Mahomes ends up getting cleared to play this week, he’d probably be more of a low-end QB1 against Minnesota, but he’d provide a definite boost for the skill-position players.

Darren Sproles (quadricep) is not listed on the Week 9 injury report.
Sproles missed the previous three games with his quad injury, but he’s back for a big matchup against the Bears this Sunday. Expect Sproles to be utilized on punt returns, but he’s not a highly recommended fantasy option in his first game back.

Justin Jackson is off the Week 9 injury report.
Jackson is set to return from his calf injury after missing the last five games, and Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn has said that he wants to use him. However, Jackson is behind Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler in the LA backfield.
11/1/19 - 03:22 PM ET
DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is questionable for Week 9.
It seems like Jackson finally has a real shot at suiting up this weekend, and fantasy owners will know his status on Sunday morning. The veteran might not see a full complement of snaps if he plays, but all it takes is one big play for him to be worth a start.
11/1/19 - 03:21 PM ET
Dwayne Haskins will start for the Redskins in Week 9.
With Case Keenum still in concussion protocol, Haskins is drawing his first career NFL start after taking the first-team reps in practice during the week. The rookie has a tough task facing the Bills in Buffalo, but it’ll be interesting to watch the Ohio State product in his first career start. Haskins is not a recommended fantasy pickup in a run-heavy offense.

George Kittle’s “knee is good” after MRI, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This was the expectation after Kittle was able to return to last night’s game against the 49ers—scoring a monstrous touchdown that included a great stiff arm—but it’s still great to hear. Kittle did miss some snaps toward the end of last night’s win, and he’s probably not quite 100%, but we do not expect that he’ll miss a huge Week 10 matchup with the Seahawks.
