Join now >Deebo Samuel (groin) has been ruled out for Week 7.
Samuel did not practice at all this week, so this is not a surprise. Hopefully we see the rookie receiver back on the field soon, but he should be considered week-to-week until he at least hits the practice field. This could open up the opportunity for more targets to Dante Pettis, but none of the Niners receivers are highly recommended fantasy options at the moment.

Tyreek Hill (shoulder) officially remains limited in practice.
Until Hill gets a full practice in, it’s difficult to consider him more than 50/50 to return to the field. That said, the final Week 6 injury report will be released tomorrow, so we’ll see if he’s able to avoid being ruled out ahead of the weekend. A questionable tag would be a good sign.
10/10/19 - 05:03 PM ET
Raheem Mostert (knee) is officially questionable for Week 7.
Mostert at least has a shot to play against the Redskins on Sunday, but the 49ers are not going to rush him out there in a game they should be able to handle—especially with Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida leading a deep running back group. San Francisco plays at 1:00 PM ET this week, so Mostert’s status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

The Patriots officially placed Jakob Johnson on injured reserve.
This was reportedly going to happen because of Johnson’s shoulder injury suffered in last Thursday’ game against the Giants. Johnson is the second Patriots fullback to be placed on IR this season, as James Develin was previously placed on IR because of a neck injury. It’ll be interesting to see what New England does at the position, but they could pivot and use less of a fullback moving forward. Sony Michel and company having their third fullback in front of them is less than ideal. Johnson was an International Pathway Program signing by the Pats this offseason, and we hope to see him back on the field next season.
10/14/19 - 05:19 PM ET
Geronimo Allison (concussion/chest) is listed as doubtful for Week 7.
Allison is probably going to miss this Sunday against the Raiders. The concussion is the biggest obstacle right now, and he’s looking unlikely to get cleared in the next 24-48 hours ahead of the game.
10/18/19 - 04:27 PM ET
Sammy Watkins (hamstring) officially did not practice today.
Perhaps Watkins can hit the practice field in a limited capacity tomorrow, but he’s looking unlikely for Sunday against the Texans. The final Week 6 injury report, with Watkins’ official game status, will be released sometime tomorrow.
10/10/19 - 05:02 PM ET
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Week 7.
The Packers are undoubtedly hoping that Valdes-Scantling can get on the field Sunday against the Raiders with Davante Adams (toe) out and Geronimo Allison (concussion/chest) doubtful. MVS says he won’t play if he knows he won’t be able to help his team, and he’s looking like a legit game-time decision. If active, MVS would be in the FLEX mix despite being at less than 100%.
