Join now >Josh Allen (concussion) was officially limited in today’s practice.
This is a good sign for Allen as he progress through concussion protocol. Things should be trending in a positive direction for Allen to play this Sunday against the Titans, but we’ll track his status throughout the rest of the week.
10/2/19 - 03:14 PM ET
The Jets have ruled out Sam Darnold (mono) for Week 5.
An enlarged spleen puts Darnold in serious danger if he were to get hit, so New York is obviously making the right move by holding him out another week. Luke Falk will make another start, and hopefully the bye week will have him better prepared at the controls. Still, Falk won’t be a recommended fantasy option despite an excellent matchup against Philly.
10/4/19 - 10:46 AM ET
The Bengals signed Stanley Morgan Jr. from the practice squad.
Morgan went undrafted this year, but he signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent and then landed on the team’s practice squad. The Nebraska product left school with program records in career receptions (189) and receiving yards (2,747). He’s a name to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues for now.
10/2/19 - 01:29 PM ET
DeSean Jackson (abdomen) has been ruled out for Week 5.
It will be his third missed game in a row (and he also most missed of Week 2), as Jackson remains week-to-week. Sunday’s matchup against the Jets would have been a good one for the veteran deep threat, but the Eagles will likely go with Mack Hollins in the starting lineup alongside Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor.
10/4/19 - 10:35 AM ET
The Bengals placed John Ross (shoulder) on injured reserve.
It was reported yesterday that Ross would miss a month or so with his shoulder injury, but now he’ll miss at least two months with the injury. The Bengals say Ross is dealing with a sternoclavicular injury, and we expect he might be able to return after eight weeks as a designated-to-return player. Ross had been enjoying a strong third season, with 16 receptions for 328 yards and three touchdowns through four games. We hope to see him back on the field later this year, but you can drop him if you need bench space.
10/2/19 - 01:25 PM ET
Brandin Cooks did not return to tonight’s game.
Cooks was being evaluated for a concussion after hitting his head on the ground on a great diving catch for the Rams. He’ll now have to clear concussion protocol to be able to play against the 49ers in ten days. Before leaving, Cooks caught one pass for 29 yards and had one carry for 27 yards.
10/3/19 - 11:50 PM ET
The Chargers officially placed Dontrelle Inman on injured reserve.
Inman injured his quad in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins, and he’s now being placed on IR to make room for kicker Chase McLaughlin. Inman just had five receptions for 76 yards versus Miami, and the Chargers are getting even thinner at receiver. Hopefully Mike Williams (back) and/or Travis Benjamin (hip) can play in Week 5.
