Join now >Robert Woods gets on track in Week 4.
Woods caught 13 passes for 164 yards in the Rams’ 55-40 loss to the Buccaneers, matching his reception total for the season entering the game and surpassing his receiving yardage total. It certainly helped Woods’ statistics that the Rams threw the ball 68 times while trying to keep up with Tampa Bay, but this was still a promising sign for the 1,200-yard receiver from last season. Woods made the plays we were used to seeing from a year ago, and quarterback Jared Goff looked more comfortable throwing the ball around to Woods and company in the second half. After this strong effort, Woods is now on pace for 104 receptions for 1,228 yards along with 20 carries for 172 rushing yards at the quarter-mark in the season. It’s only a matter of time before Woods finds the end zone, and he’s a strong play against Seattle on Thursday night for Week 5.

Todd Gurley scores twice in Week 4.
Gurley carried just five times for 16 yards, but he punched it in twice for a couple of touchdowns and added seven receptions for 54 yards against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay has a tough and underrated run defense, and Los Angeles fell behind early and went to a pass-heavy approach offensively, so the lack of carries isn’t a huge concern. Gurley received the vast majority of the backfield work for the Rams, and his knee didn’t appear to be an issue throughout the game—the bigger concern for Gurley’s fantasy value right now might be the lack of a consistent run game for the Rams. Through a quarter of the season, Gurley is on pace for 196 carries, 876 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 44 receptions, and 248 receiving yards. If the offense starts clicking, expect Gurley to get more involved in terms of touches, especially through the air after totaling 788 and 580 receiving yards in his first two years in Sean McVay’s offense. It’ll be interesting to see how much Gurley is used on a short week when the Rams face the Seahawks this Thursday night.

Chris Godwin explodes for career-highs in Week 4.
The Buccaneers put up 55 points in an upset victory over the Rams, and Godwin was a huge part of the offensive effort by Tampa Bay, catching 12 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. The scores were both in the red zone—one on a quick screen where he powered into the end zone, and the other coming on a corner route from the slot where he went up and made a nice contested catch after Jameis Winston was late with the throw. Godwin has quickly become a star in the NFL at 23 years old, and he’s on pace for 104 receptions, 1,544 yards, and 16 touchdowns this season. If you’ve been keeping him on your bench for whatever reason, it’s time to stop that and make sure he’s in your lineup every week as a must-start. There might be some down games when Winston struggles, but Godwin is too good of a player with too much upside not to be in fantasy lineups every week.

Christian McCaffrey racks up 37 touches in Panthers’ win.
McCaffrey carried 27 times for 93 yards and a touchdown along with ten receptions for 86 yards in Carolina’s 16-10 win over Houston. The third-year running back joined the legendary Jim Brown as the only player in NFL history with at least 175 yards and a scrimmage touchdown in three of the first four games in a season. Through a quarter of the season, McCaffrey is on pace for 344 carries, 1,644 rushing yards, 100 receptions, and 872 receiving yards. The Stanford product is simply an exceptional player that gets fed the ball a ton. Especially considering the ankle injury to Saquon Barkley, there probably isn’t a better fantasy asset to own in 2019.

Marquise Brown catches four passes in Week 4.
Brown gained 22 yards on his four receptions against the Browns, as Cleveland did a nice job against Baltimore’s passing attack. The rookie receiver did have an opportunity at a touchdown on a crossing route in the end zone, but the pass was thrown a little low and he couldn’t come up with it. After bursting onto the scene with lines of 4/147/2 and 8/86 to start his career, “Hollywood” has been held to six receptions for 71 yards in the past two weeks. Despite the fast start, Brown looks like he’s settling in as more of a boom/bust FLEX option as a rookie.
9/30/19 - 08:56 AM ET
Kenny Golladay scores twice in Week 4.
Golladay caught five passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns against the Chiefs, making some acrobatic plays including a controversial foot-dragging touchdown to put the Lions ahead in the fourth quarter of an eventual loss. Golladay nearly had another touchdown that was overturned after a review. The Week 3 struggles against the Eagles were a major surprise, but Golladay has a touchdown in three of his four games this season and is on pace for 16 scores this season. After his Week 5 bye, Golladay will basically be a must-start the rest of the way.

A.J. Green (ankle) is not expected to play in the next three weeks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Green is out out tonight against the Steelers, and the Pro Bowl receiver is reportedly expected to miss the next two games against the Cardinals and Ravens, too. While it would have been great for Green to return in early October, this isn’t surprising when you consider Green is not going to return until he’s 100%. Cincinnati’s bye week is not until Week 9 (in the first week of November), so we would hope he’s able to return before then. But if not, hopefully a Week 11 matchup with the Ravens after the bye is the latest Green will return from his ankle injury. After the first Baltimore game in Week 6, the Bengals play the Jaguars on October 20 and the Rams on October 27 ahead of the bye week.
