Atlanta’s main returner will hopefully get cleared in time for Week 4, but that’s obviously not a guarantee. Barner has recorded one offensive touch so far this season (a four-yard carry in Sunday’s loss to the Colts).

LeSean McCoy (ankle) was officially a full participant in today’s practice.
McCoy is good to go for Sunday against the Lions, and with Damien Williams (knee) looking doubtful, he could be set for a nice workload in Week 4. The veteran running back is a solid fantasy option as the likely top running back for the explosive Chiefs offense this weekend.

A.J. Green (ankle) will not play in Week 4.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor says Green isn’t likely to practice this week either, but notes that his star receiver is headed in the right direction in his rehab. There haven’t really been any concrete reports on Green’s status lately, and he should be considered week-to-week for now. Late September to early October was a hope for a return when Green was injured, but fantasy owners might be lucky to get him back by the middle of next month. Green should be held on all fantasy rosters if possible.

Taylor Gabriel (concussion) officially remains out of practice.
It’s not looking good for Gabriel potentially suiting up in Week 4, but perhaps he can get cleared in the next couple of days and play on Sunday. The final injury report for the week will be released tomorrow.

Cam Newton (foot) has been ruled out for Week 4.
In a statement from the Panthers, head coach Ron Rivera said: “What Cam needs right now is time and rest for his foot. We want him at 100 percent when he’s ready, so there’s no exact timetable for his return. At this point, we’re going to go forward with Kyle (Allen) as our starter.” Until Newton is 100% recovered from his foot injury, he won’t be back on the field for Carolina, which is the smart course of action, especially after Allen played well yesterday (granted, it was against a below average Cardinals defense). This isn’t terrible news for the skill position players of the Panthers, as at least Newton should be a lot better than he was to open the season when he returns. Cam can be dropped in redraft leagues, especially if you need roster space.

Gary Jennings has not been waived by the Seahawks.
It appears the reporting of ESPN’s Adam Schefter from last night might have been inaccurate or jumped the gun a bit, as the speculation and reporting that Jennings had been cut is apparently not true. ESPN’s Field Yates says the Seahawks actually waived defensive tackle Bryan Mone to clear a roster spot, so the fourth-round rookie receiver is still on Seattle’s active roster. Jennings is just a dynasty-league hold for now.

Saquon Barkley will miss several weeks with a high-ankle sprain, according to Ian Rapoport.
High-ankle sprains typically keep a player out from four-to-six weeks, but knowing Barkley, fantasy owners may be able to at least have some optimism that it will be on the short end of that timetable. Unfortunately, the Giants don’t have their bye week until November, so Wayne Gallman will likely step in as the starter for games against the Redskins, Vikings, Patriots, and Cardinals over the next four weeks. Teams that started 3-0 and feel good about their playoff chances might be wise to target Saquon in a trade.
