Join now >Latavius Murray barely used in Week 3.
Murray had just two carries for two yards in the Saints’ 33-27 win over the Seahawks, while Alvin Kamara carried 16 times for 69 yards and a touchdown while also adding nine receptions for 92 yards and another score. There was some hope that New Orleans would run the ball more with Murray after Drew Brees’ injury, but this outing is very concerning for the bruising runner. We recommend holding Murray because of his upside in a top offense that typically utilizes two running backs (and because this was just one game), but he’s not a must-hold if you want to clear a bench spot on your roster.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) did not practice on Thursday.
Hilton doesn’t need to practice to suit up on Sunday, but he will ideally return to a limited session on Friday. That said, we would guess that he’s on the wrong side of questionable right now, so fantasy owners with an option in tonight’s game may want to think about taking T.Y. out of their lineup.

Chris Carson fumbles again in Week 3.
Carson carried 15 times for 53 yards and added one reception for -2 yards in Seattle’s 33-27 home loss to New Orleans, but the bruising running back had another fumble—and it was a costly one, as it was returned for a touchdown by the Saints. Carson had just two lost fumbles all of last season, but he’s already lost three this season—clearly, it’s an issue that needs to be fixed, but it’s difficult to see Seattle not continuing to have high confidence in their starting running back with the way he’s played (aside from the fumbles this year) since the start of last season. There is some risk because 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny, who missed this game with a hamstring injury and has an unclear timetable to return, is on the team, but Carson might be a great buy-low candidate after these fumbling issues.

Devin Singletary (hamstring) was officially limited in today’s practice.
This is a notable positive step for Singletary after missing Buffalo’s last four practices following his Week 2 hamstrings injury. The Bills would obviously love to have Singletary out there against the 3-0 Patriots in an early battle for first place in the AFC East, and we’d say things are leaning in the positive direction for the rookie running back.

Mike Evans explodes in Buccaneers’ Week 3 loss.
Evans caught eight passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-31 loss to the Giants, with seven receptions for 146 yards and all three scores coming in the first half. The Giants put cornerback Janoris Jenkins in single coverage on Evans for much of the game, and he simply had a tough time handling the big receiver one-on-one and needed more help. After a relatively quiet couple of first weeks this season, Evans more than made up for it for fantasy owners that were patient. However, this actually might be a good time to sell extremely high on Evans, who has a difficult upcoming schedule, if you can get a great return for him.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn says Melvin Gordon will return to his usual role.
Lynn held a press conference (which he typically does not do on Thursday’s) because of Gordon’s return from his holdout, and he received questions exclusively about Gordon. Lynn made it clear that the star running back will be used in the role he’s always been used, noting that Gordon is a playmaker that knows how to score touchdowns. Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson were commended for the job they’ve done filling in for Gordon, but Lynn is clearly excited about Gordon’s return and says Gordon will “no doubt” be the starter now that he’s back. Gordon is not playing in Week 4 and may be worked in relatively slowly in Week 5, but he’ll likely resume being a top-notch fantasy RB1 as one of the league’s premier touchdown-scorers by sometime in October.

Daniel Jones leads Giants’ comeback win in first career start.
Down 28-10 to begin the second half, Jones calmly led the Giants back to a 32-31 victory over the Buccaneers, with the game-winning score coming on a fourth-down scramble where he went untouched up the middle with under two minutes remaining. Overall, Jones was 22/36 for 336 yards and two passing touchdowns along with four carries for 28 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Star running back Saquon Barkley left the game in the second quarter, and the underrated Tampa Bay defense did not play a bad game, but Jones was simply outstanding in his first NFL start. This was just start No. 1 of what should be a long career, but it’s looking like a lot of know-it-alls (on television, radio, and Twitter) that laughed at the Giants for taking Jones sixth overall are going to have to eat their words (or just delete their tweets and act like they knew Jones would be good all along, which would be the norm for hot-takers and self-proclaimed geniuses). Accounting for Jones’ rushing ability, the rookie should at least be a solid fantasy QB2 this season, but it won’t be a big surprise if he’s a QB1. Jones’ presence in the lineup looks like a boost for skill position players like Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram, both of whom hit 100 yards receiving in the Week 3 win.
