Join now >The 49ers signed Jeff Wilson Jr. to the practice squad.
Wilson played well when he got a chance last year for the Niners, so this isn’t surprising. The second-year running back isn’t on the redraft radar at the moment, but he’ll be worth monitoring if he gets called up to the active roster.

The Dolphins have released Isaiah Ford.
Miami seems to have their top five receivers locked in, so Ford will now hit free agency or potentially sign with the practice squad.

The Patriots released Stephen Anderson.
Anderson couldn’t carve out a role in an open tight end depth chart for New England, but he’s just 26 years old and will likely land with another team soon.

The 49ers are expected to place Jerick McKinnon (knee) on injured reserve, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This might just be speculation based on McKinnon’s most recent setback, but either way, fantasy owners drafting this weekend can pass on him. San Francisco was projected to have a three-headed monster with Tevin Coleman, Matt Breida, and McKinnon this season, but it’s unfortunately looking like it will be a two-man show with Raheem Mostert potentially getting a few touches per game, too. McKinnon—who has yet to suit up for the Niners in a regular season game—turned 27 in the spring.

The Dolphins have traded Kenny Stills to the Texans, according to multiple reports.
The trade is a blockbuster that also sends star left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Texans in exchange for multiple draft picks, as Houston is clearly going all in on a Super Bowl this year after already trading picks for running backs Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde. From a fantasy perspective, the receiving corps is suddenly very cloudy behind DeAndre Hopkins, as Stills is a repeatable talent to Will Fuller, and Keke Coutee will also remain involved. Overall, this move likely improves the fantasy outlook for Deshaun Watson while negatively impacting everyone else. And for Miami, they are clearly rebuilding and should have the process accelerated with this trade. It’s also a sign that they want to target Alabama’s Tua Tagovialoa (a left-handed quarterback) in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Raiders are releasing Keon Hatcher.
Oakland had a really tough competition that includes undrafted free agent Keelan Doss. Hatcher turns just 25 next month and should draw interest from other teams, but he could be a practice squad candidate if not.

The Jaguars cut Ben Koyack.
Koyack made the initial 53-man roster, but he fell victim to Jacksonville’s waiver claims today. The 26-year-old tight end should land with a new team pretty soon.
