Join now >The Broncos have placed Drew Lock (thumb) on injured reserve.
Denver now has zero quarterbacks on the active roster behind Joe Flacco, and Lock may never suit up if the team is in contention when he’s eligible to return. Lock—the No. 42 pick in April’s draft—has the talent to start in the league, but he needs polishing and likely wouldn’t be ready until 2020 anyway.

The Browns waived Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi.
You have to admire the way Sheehy-Guiseppi worked his way into an opportunity with the Browns, but making the final roster was going to be a difficult task. We’ll see if Sheehy-Guiseppi can land on Cleveland’s practice squad.

The Jets released Elijah McGuire.
This isn’t a surprise after McGuire was playing late in last night’s preseason game, but plenty of teams should be interested in the third-year running back. Former Jets running backs coach Stump Mitchell (now with the Browns) had previously compared McGuire’s ability to LaDanian Tomlinson’s, so Cleveland could be a place for the former sixth-round pick to land. McGuire doesn’t need to be held in dynasty leagues right now, though.

The Vikings cut Laquon Treadwell.
Minnesota was trying to move Treadwell via a trade, but there were no takers, and the 2016 first-round pick’s Vikings career ends after three seasons. Treadwell had a tough time establishing himself as a top playmaker for the Vikings while Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen stepped up, but he’s still just 24 years old and should certainly draw a lot of interest from the 31 other teams despite no one biting on a trade. His dynasty value probably depends on where he lands.

The Dolphins cut Jake Rudock, according to multiple reports.
Rudock played well in the preseason finale for the Dolphins, so at least he put good play on film for other teams. He’s off the fantasy radar at the moment.

Josh Adams is signing with the Jets practice squad, according to NFL Network.
Adams led the Eagles in rushing last season, but the team was too loaded at running back after acquiring Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders earlier this year. The Notre Dame product is unlikely to have much fantasy value if he’s promoted to the active roster.

The Raiders released Luke Willson.
Willson is a player many fans got to know better during this season of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’. The Canadian tight end was just on a tough team to make at his position, but he’ll draw interest around the league.
