Join now >The Ravens released Joe Callahan.
With Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III, and Trace McSorley all on the roster at quarterback for the Ravens, this was expected. Callahan seems to be a player coaches like, so he shouldn’t take too long to find a new team.

The Broncos claimed Brandon Allen.
Allen, who was waived by the Rams, is expected to slide in as the backup quarterback behind Joe Flacco. He isn’t likely to be a highly recommended fantasy option if he’s forced into action.

The Chargers are releasing Cardale Jones.
The big-armed Ohio State product should draw a good amount of interest from other teams, but the Chargers are going in another direction. Jones turns 26 next month.

The Eagles signed Kyle Lauletta to the practice squad.
The 2018 fourth-rounder was cut by the Giants yesterday. Lauletta will look to develop in a good situation with Doug Pederson in Philadelphia.

The Ravens released Michael Floyd.
On a roster with a crowded group of young receivers, Floyd probably really needed to stand out to make Baltimore’s final roster. The 29-year-old should draw interest around the league as a big-bodied target.

Keelan Doss is signing with the Jaguars’ practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo.
Doss apparently had an offer from the Raiders to join their practice squad, but he may have been offered more money by Jacksonville or simply felt slighted for not making the team to begin with in Oakland. Also, he may see a big opportunity on a cloudy depth chart to potentially make an impact if he’s ever promoted to the 53-man roster. Doss remains a name to watch in dynasty leagues.

The Steelers cut Eli Rogers.
This is a bit of a surprise, but the Steelers are going with Ryan Switzer in the slot over Rogers. The veteran was unlikely to have a role that led to fantasy value anyway, so we’ll see if he can land elsewhere before the season.
