The Browns announced this surgery, and they added that a “full recovery” is expected before his return in Week 10 after his eight-game suspension. Because Hunt is suspended for half of the season, this sports hernia surgery shouldn’t be a concern for those that have or plan on drafting the former league-leading rusher late in fantasy drafts.

Kenyan Drake (foot) is practicing.
Drake might not be quite 100% yet, but this is a good sign for his Week 1 status. While teams are also getting ready to play a fourth preseason game, there’s typically a lot of preparation for the season opener after the third preseason game, so Drake will look to work himself back into the swing of things after missing a couple of weeks. Drake’s current ADP is 71 (according to FantasyPros).

The Bears are waiving Marvin Hall.
Hall played for the Falcons last season and caught ten passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. He can stretch the field and should get teams interested in him as a free agent if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

D.K. Metcalf needs knee surgery, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
The surgery is supposedly minor, but at best, it probably makes Metcalf very questionable for Week 1. While it’s notable that the rookie wore his uniform for tonight’s preseason game despite not playing, perhaps that was the team trying to be as optimistic as possible. We’ll see if Gary Jennings or someone else can step up over the next couple weeks, but David Moore should be a starter alongside Tyler Lockett to open the regular season.

The Eagles placed Charles Johnson on injured reserve.
Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury, and there’s probably a chance the he’s released after an injury settlement at some point. If not, Johnson is unlikely to be brought back as a designated-to-return player this season.

John Ross (hamstring) returned to Bengals practice.
This is Ross’ first practice this preseason, so he’s behind the eight-ball a bit in new head coach Zac Taylor’s offense. The former first-round pick has the speed and ability to make an impact, but he’s not a highly recommended choice in fantasy drafts at the moment.

The Eagles have waived Wendell Smallwood.
Smallwood looked like the team’s best running back at times last season, but he faced long roster odds after the team acquired Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders. The 25-year-old should resurface soon, but he’s currently off the fantasy radar.
