Join now >The Raiders are waiving Keelan Doss.
This is a pretty big surprise from one of the biggest storylines on this year of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’. Doss played very well this preseason and seemed to be well-liked by Jon Gruden and the coaching staff, but it became a numbers game. The Raiders are certainly going to try to get Doss onto the practice squad, but it doesn’t seem likely that he clears waivers.

Parris Campbell (hamstring) has returned to practice.
Campbell missed about four weeks with his hamstring injury, but returning today should put him on track to suit up in Week 1. However, the rookie receiver might not immediately have a big role after missing so much time, and his upside takes a hit with the retirement of Andrew Luck. Campbell doesn’t need to be drafted in standard redraft leagues.

The Bengals claimed Pharoh Cooper.
Cooper could work himself into a role on offense for the Bengals, but for now he’ll likely immediately contribute on special teams.

The Patriots are waiving Braxton Berrios, according to multiple reports.
Berrios was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 draft and there were high hopes for him eventually taking over the slot role in New England, but the Patriots receiving corps suddenly got crowded when Josh Gordon (suspension) and Demaryius Thomas (injury) returned. If Berrios goes unclaimed on waivers, the practice squad for the Patriots would be a good spot for him.

The Giants have placed Brittan Golden (calf) on injured reserve.
Golden wasn’t expected to have a role in 2019, so he’ll look to recover this year and stick somewhere in 2020. The Giants will rely heavily on Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram in the passing game this season.

Julian Edelman (thumb) returned to practice.
Multiple reports say Edelman is in full pads at Patriots practice, so it appears he’s been taken off the non-football injury list. The veteran has a few weeks to get comfortability in the 2019 offense, but more than anything, his presence is good for the other players on the team as roles are established at wide receiver. The return of Josh Gordon could take some targets away from Edelman, but the Super Bowl MVP still offers among the highest of floors in fantasy this season.

The Bengals claimed Samaje Perine.
Cincinnati lost University of Oklahoma product Rodney Anderson to a torn ACL, and they add a fellow University of Oklahoma product in Samaje Perine, who was cut by the Redskins yesterday. Another Sooner (Joe Mixon) leads the Bengals backfield, and Perine has the talent to eventually become his immediate backup on all three downs. Perine could provide fantasy value in 2019 if Mixon goes down with an injury.
