Butler—a fourth-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft—didn’t make much noise in camp, and it seems like Arizona wants to use this season as a redshirt year for the big-bodied receiver after he recently broke his hand. We like the rookie’s talent, so this is a definite buy-low opportunity in dynasty leagues. As for 2019, the Cardinals have Christian Kirk, Larry Fitzgerald, KeeSean Johnson, and Michael Crabtree locked in as their top receivers to start the season.

The Chargers have released Artavis Scott.
Scott was thought to have a shot at a minor role in 2019, but the team signing Dontrelle Inman hurt those chances, and he’ll now be free to sign elsewhere. The Clemson product could also be back on the Los Angeles practice squad.

Sterling Shepard (thumb) is now catching passes.
Shepard shed his non-contact and don’t-throw-to jersey, and he says he’s close to 100% from his fractured thumb. Entering his first season as the Giants’ No. 1 wide receiver, Shepard will be ready to go for Week 1 and should provide both a solid season-long and weekly floor in 2019 fantasy leagues.

The Patriots released Maurice Harris from injured reserve.
As expected, the two sides came to a settlement so that Harris can now become free to sign with another team. Perhaps the Redskins will bring Harris back at some point, as the two sides know each other well from the last three years.

The Redskins officially announce Case Keenum as their starting quarterback.
This announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise with Colt McCoy (leg) still not 100% and rookie Dwayne Haskins needing some polishing, but Keenum will line up under center in Week 1 when the Redskins take on the Eagles. While Washington is expected to be a run-first team led by Adrian Peterson and Derrius Guice, Keenum has shown he can move the offense as a playmaker, which will be key if they are going to compete in the NFC East.

The Seahawks waived Paxton Lynch.
Geno Smith has won the backup job behind Russell Wilson. Lynch showed progress with Seattle, though, and the team will likely try to get him onto the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Jonathan Williams’ injury is a broken rib, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
While it’s almost certainly still painful, it sounds like it’s just one broken rib for Williams, and Rapoport says it’s not a long-term injury. Williams will look to be ready to go for at least the fourth preseason game as he looks to make Indy’s 53-man roster.
