Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that Henry might play in the team’s final preseason game on Thursday night, but it doesn’t sound like that’s going to actually happen. Henry says he just needs to get back into a rhythm, but he can do that in practice and should be ready to go after practicing this week and next week leading up to the season opener. Henry also added a couple of times that he’s “getting better every day” from his calf injury, and overall there isn’t much concern about it—assuming he doesn’t have a setback during practice this week, the calf injury isn’t something that should be a big point of hesitation to draft Henry if you’re holding your draft this weekend. The former Heisman Trophy winner also said that he gets better with more carries, so we’ll see if he actually gets a heavy workload in 2019 after inconsistent usage for most of last season.

Jonathan Williams (chest) is out for the rest of today’s preseason game.
This is unfortunate for Williams as he looks to make the Colts roster, but hopefully the injury isn’t too serious and he can play in the team’s third and fourth preseason games.

Garrett Griffin suffers apparent leg injury in preseason game.
Griffin needed help to get over to the sideline and appeared unable to put much pressure on his leg. Griffin is probably battling for a roster spot, so hopefully he doesn’t miss much time past tonight.

Andrew Luck (ankle) will not practice this week.
Luck still isn’t 100%, and he’s running out of time to get himself ready for the season opener on September 8. Colts head coach Frank Reich said he wants to make a decision on the Week 1 starter after this week, so if Luck doesn’t show enough progress this week (while working off to the side) to give the team confidence that he’ll be ready for Week 1, Jacoby Brissett will be under-center against the Chargers to open the year. Luck looked good in pregame warmups last week, but he needs actual practice time with his teammates ahead of the regular season.

The Seahawks waived Amara Darboh.
The 2017 third-round pick hasn’t been able to carve out a big role on offense for Seattle, and now he’ll hit waivers. The Michigan product was claimed by the Patriots last year, but he then went back to the Seahawks’ injured reserve after failing a physical with New England.

The Eagles have waived Braxton Miller.
Philly needed room for Josh McCown on the roster, so Miller will likely pass through waivers unclaimed and become a free agent. The former Ohio State quarterback faced very long roster odds with the Eagles, but we’ll see if he can get a chance to stick around somewhere over the next couple weeks.

Lamar Miller suffers apparent knee injury in preseason game.
Miller was just rolled up on badly on an early carry against the Cowboys, and he was immediately went down grabbing his knee area. Miller, who is understandably emotional, is heading to the locker room on a cart, and this has the appearance of a potentially serious injury. Hopefully this isn’t as bad as it looks, but right now it appears that Miller could miss a long period of time. The Texans just gave up a conditional third-round pick to acquire Duke Johnson a few weeks ago, so they might not have much leverage if trying to acquire a starting running back (such as current Chargers holdout Melvin Gordon) from another team. More information on Miller’s injury should become available sometime tonight or tomorrow.
