Blacknall was just waived by the Raiders, but he lands on his feet ahead of training camp. He’ll look to win a role this summer, but he isn’t on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Ezekiel Elliott is officially holding out of training camp.
NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports that Zeke didn’t show up this morning for his physical and conditioning test, so the holdout is officially on. Elliott was reportedly going to holdout without a new deal, and now it’ll really get interesting for both sides now that he isn’t there. We expect the Cowboys and Elliott will come to an agreement at some point soon, and it helps the running back’s case that he’s obviously a critical member of their offense. However, Dallas also has to work out a contract extension for quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper, so perhaps this holdout will go deep into the summer and potentially into the regular season.

The Eagles have re-signed Darren Sproles.
After a hamstring injury basically eliminated Sproles’ 2018 season, the veteran running back is back in the mix with Philadelphia. Sproles is likely to have a decent role in passing situations, but it might be difficult for him to make a big fantasy impact on a backfield that also includes Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, and Corey Clement. Sproles will likely be more of a real-life factor for the Eagles than he’ll be a reliable fantasy option in what’ll likely be his final NFL season.

The Giants are signing Amba Etta-Tawo, according to Mike Garafolo.
Etta-Tawo previously spent time with New York as a member of the practice squad, and he’s back after injuries to Sterling Shepard (thumb) and Corey Coleman (knee) to begin camp. The 25-year-old has good size at six-foot-one (which the team lacked to begin with), so perhaps he can make a big enough impact to earn a roster spot.

The Packers are signing wide receiver Malik Taylor.
Taylor is an undrafted player from small-school Ferris State, and he was originally with the Buccaneers after this year’s draft. Taylor obviously has a big challenge ahead as he looks to make an NFL roster this summer, and he’s not yet on the fantasy radar.

Lamar Jackson says he put on seven-to-ten pounds of muscle this offseason.
The second-year quarterback says he heard people said he was too skinny, but he made sure the weight he added is “muscle not fat.” The former Heisman Trophy winner is a slippery runner that does a good job of avoiding hits, but the added muscle should help him with durability because, as Jackson said, it puts a little more meat on his bones. The only concern is that the added weight could lead to a slight decrease in speed, but it’s probably not much of an issue if it was muscle as Jackson says. Because of his rushing ability, Jackson offers a ton of upside in the later rounds of fantasy drafts this summer.

Tyreek Hill will not be suspended for alleged child abuse, according to multiple reports.
Well this is a major shocker. There were rumblings that Hill would be facing a short suspension of maybe two or four games, but it’s a surprise that he’s facing zero discipline after the NFL’s investigation into child abuse allegations. In a statement from the league, the NFL states: “the NFL cannot conclude that Mr. Hill violated the Personal Conduct Policy.” It appears the league went with an innocent-until-proven guilty approach here, but it’s curious that Hill faces no discipline when he was caught on tape telling his then-fiancee that she should be “terrified” of him while throwing an expletive at her, while Tom Brady was suspended a few seasons ago for supposedly having footballs deflated when there was no legitimate evidence that was the case. Anyway, the NFL can re-open its investigation if new information comes to light, but that doesn’t seem likely. The star receiver will be available for all 16 games in 2019, and he is now reinserted into the conversation as a high draft pick in fantasy football leagues if you feel comfortable drafting him. Hill’s presence obviously helps Patrick Mahomes as he looks to replicate last year’s magical MVP season, but teammate Sammy Watkins should probably be knocked down slightly in rankings, as he looked to have a chance to be Mahomes’ top wide receiver for a chunk of this year until now.
