Join now >The Giants have selected Duke quarterback Daniel Jones with the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Many draft “experts” had Jones as the fourth quarterback at best and well outside the first round in draft rankings, but he was clearly held in much higher regard by NFL teams. The experienced Duke quarterback played under David Cutcliffe, who coached Eli Manning at Ole Miss (as well as Peyton Manning at Tennessee), and he has a similar personality to the two-time Super Bowl winner. Jones will now get to sit behind Eli for a year or two before eventually taking over, so he’s not on the redraft radar in fantasy leagues for 2019—he’s a strong hold in dynasty leagues, though. Read our full scouting report on Jones in the link below, but Jones is a very smart quarterback that goes through his progressions and has plus athleticism with the ability to run RPOs and designed quarterback runs.

The Cardinals have selected Massachusetts wide receiver Andy Isabella with the No. 62 pick (second round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Isabella is certainly one of the more intriguing prospects in this year’s class, as he has the play style and athletic profile of a perimeter receiver, but his size (five-foot-nine with short arms and small hands) would seem to suggest his best spot is in the slot. That said, the 4.31 speed could get him on the field early on, and being a situational deep threat might be his most realistic shot at instant fantasy success in 2019. We’ll know how Arizona wants to use Isabella soon enough, but long term, the small-school star might reach his full potential as a souped-up Wes Welker-like weapon inside in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

The Cardinals have selected Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
There was plenty of talk about Arizona going in a different direction over the past couple days, but that proved to be pre-draft drama more than anything else. Murray—the reigning Heisman Trophy winner—is basically Barry Sanders with a rocket arm, so he should be the perfect fit as the quarterback of Kliff Kingsbury’s spread attack; our full scouting report on Murray can be ready in the link below. The Cardinals still need to add pieces up front to protect their new franchise quarterback, but Murray will have a chance at immediate fantasy success throwing to Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk (along with David Johnson out of the backfield). A case could be made for the dual-threat as the first pick in rookie drafts because of his ability as a runner, but he will be more of a late-round flier in redraft leagues.

The Cardinals are trading Josh Rosen to the Dolphins, according to multiple reports.
Miami was the only known team left that was interested in Rosen, so it’s surprising that Arizona was able to get a second-round pick (No. 62 overall) in return for him. Rosen is obviously now the favorite to start for the Dolphins over Ryan Fitzpatrick this season, and he’ll likely get a 16-game stretch to try and prove himself—if he doesn’t impress Miami enough, they’ll certainly be in the market for a quarterback like Tua Tagovailoa or Jake Fromm high in the 2020 draft. Rosen isn’t likely to be a huge fantasy factor on what’ll likely be a team that struggles this season.

Audio emerges regarding Tyreek Hill’s alleged child abuse.
KCTV5 News in Kansas City obtained audio of Hill and Crystal Epinal (the mother of Hill’s child) talking about their son and the alleged abuse. In the audio, Hill tells Epinal: “you need to be terrified of me, too, [expletive]. That’s why you can’t keep a [expletive] man.” Obviously, this evidence is pretty damning, and this has been pretty stupid of Hill all around considering he would’ve been set to get a potential $100-million contract from the Chiefs soon. Now, his future in Kansas City and in the NFL is in major doubt, and dynasty owners of Hill should be pessimistic about the situation. At the very least, he’s facing a lengthy suspension. Remember, the Chiefs were quick to take action and release Kareem Hunt; while the fact that the draft going on tonight and through Saturday might complicate things, don’t be surprised if the dynamic receiver is released soon.

The Colts have selected Ohio State wide receiver Parris Campbell with the No. 59 pick (second round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Almost exclusively an underneath target for the Buckeyes, Campbell—at least initially—projects as a better real-life weapon than fantasy option for Indy, as he might only get limited opportunities to make an impact on a weekly basis. Look for the Colts to use Campbell (4.31 speed) on plenty of bubble screens, jet sweeps, and reverses as he hopefully develops into a downfield route runner. The upside is clear, but we would consider Campbell as more a dynasty-league investment than redraft option in 2019—though catching passes from Andrew Luck could help him have fantasy value quicker than expected.

The Browns signed Ishmael Hyman.
Hyman went undrafted out of James Madison in 2018, and he played for the Orlando Apollos of the AAF before signing with Cleveland. Hyman didn’t get a ton of playing time in the AAF, but he’ll look to win a roster spot with the Browns. Special teams will obviously be key as Hyman looks to make an NFL roster.
