Darrell Henderson | Free Agent RB

The Rams have selected Memphis running back Darrell Henderson with the No. 70 pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Henderson has rushed for 8.9 yards per carry in his last two seasons at Memphis, including 1,909 yards and 22 touchdowns—along with 295 receiving yards for a whopping 15.5 yards per reception—in his final college season as a junior in 2018. He’s an extremely explosive player that should be a perfect compliment in Rams backfield as a slasher that just needs a crease for huge plays. He’ll likely compete with Malcolm Brown for the primary backup job behind Todd Gurley in 2019, which could lead to a good number of touches if LA scales back Gurley’s touches this season. Keep in mind the Rams traded up for Henderson, and they obviously like him a lot.

Josh Oliver | Vikings TE

The Jaguars have selected San Jose State tight end Josh Oliver with the No. 69 pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Oliver received playing time all four seasons at San Jose State, but he received his most time on the field as a senior, catching 56 passes for 709 yards and four touchdowns. Oliver (six-foot-five, 249 pounds) tested well at the combine, running a 4.63 40 with a 34-inch vertical jump. He has the potential to develop into a No. 1 tight end for the Jaguars, but he’s not likely to be a big-time fantasy option in a run-heavy offense in 2019.

Jalen Hurd | Retired WR

The 49ers have selected Baylor wide receiver Jalen Hurd with the No. 67 pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Receivers are starting to fly off the board, and the Niners have decided to double up after getting Deebo Samuel earlier in the night. Hurd—a former highly-routed running back of the Tennessee Volunteers that’s very athletic at six-foot-five and 226 pounds—will be a unique chess piece for Kyle Shanahan’s offense, as they could give him snaps out wide, in the slot, or even in the backfield. Fantasy value might be difficult to come by as a rookie, but Hurd will be a high-upside target in dynasty leagues.

Dwayne Haskins | Steelers QB

The Redskins have selected Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins with the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Haskins’ wait ends with Washington, which is good news for Redskins owner Daniel Snyder if reports are to be believed that he wanted to trade up into the top five to select the Ohio State quarterback that went to school with his son in the Maryland area. Haskins is the third quarterback selected in this year’s class (behind Kyler Murray—first overall to the Cardinals; and Daniel Jones—sixth overall to the Giants), but he had a case for being the draft’s top signal-caller given his ability as a classic, drop-back passer that apparently spends a lot of time on the whiteboard; one knock is that he was just a one-year starter for the Buckeyes. You can read our full scouting report on Haskins in the link below, but he obviously has the talent to immediately start Week 1 against the Eagles as a rookie. He’ll have to beat out Case Keenum and Colt McCoy for the starting job.

Diontae Johnson | Browns WR

The Steelers have selected Toledo wide receiver Diontae Johnson with the No. 66 pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This feels like a Steelers pick, as Johnson is a versatile receiver that can play inside and outside and has ability on returns, which the team likes. Size (five-foot-ten, 183 pounds) is the concern with Johnson, but Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t much trouble targeting smaller receivers. Johnson might be an immediate starter for Pittsburgh, in which case he could deliver some fantasy value as a rookie; though for now he’s more of a dynasty-league option to stash.

T.J. Hockenson | Vikings TE

The Lions selected T.J. Hockenson with the No. 8 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This is the first tight end to go in the top ten of the draft since the Lions took Eric Ebron in 2014. You can read our scouting report on Hockenson in the link below, but Hockenson is an all-around tight end that does a ton of damage as a run blocker along with his ability as a receiver. Remember, Detroit was close to acquiring All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski last offseason before Gronk threatened to retire if he was traded. It’s a stretch to say Hockenson is a lot like Gronkowski, but the Lions are obviously going to expect the Iowa tight end to have a big role on offense. Tight ends typically don’t provide a lot of fantasy value as rookies, and Hockenson will likely be a late-round selection or waiver-wire player in 2019 leagues.

DK Metcalf | Steelers WR

The Seahawks have selected Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf with the No. 64 pick (second round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Metcalf has been compared to Batman and Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown throughout the pre-draft process, so you could say the upside is pretty high here, especially at the final pick of the second round for a guy that easily could’ve been taken in the first round based on his measurable and upside. The biggest concern for Metcalf has been durability (last season ended with a neck injury), but in Seattle he will have a chance to emerge as an elite No. 1 receiver and has monstrous upside in fantasy leagues—and he’ll benefit from playing with a quarterback with Russell Wilson, who has a beautiful deep ball and gives his receivers opportunities to make plays in contested coverage. For now, we can expect mostly a vertical route tree from Metcalf, but if he puts it all together, watch out.
