Join now >Russell Wilson has told the Seahawks he wants a new contract by April 15, according to The Seattle Times.
Seattle begins their offseason program on April 15, so Wilson probably just doesn’t want to deal with questions about his contract when he’s focused on the season, hence the reported deadline. Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times says “it’s thought the two sides have had some negotiations in recent days.” Wilson wanting a new contract should end any of the speculation about the Super Bowl-winning quarterback wanting to move across the country to play for the Giants, which was probably completely baseless speculation anyway. We would expect the Seahawks will want to lock Wilson up, but they do have the franchise tag in their back pocket for next offseason if they feel Wilson is asking for too much money right now. Either way, you should feel good about Wilson remaining in Seattle for the foreseeable future, so his fantasy value will remain intact while playing with the same franchise he’s played for since being drafted in the third round of the 2012 draft.

The Jaguars signed Benny Cunningham.
This comes a day after the team signed former Texans running back Alfred Blue, so it looks like there’ll be a healthy competition for the No. 2 role behind Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville. Cunningham mostly contributed on special teams for the Bears last season, getting just six touches on offense. He’s off the fantasy radar for now, but we’ll see if he can carve out a nice role as a capable change-of-pace option with the Jags.

C.J. Anderson is signing with the Lions, according to multiple reports.
Anderson surprisingly lingered on the free-agent market for weeks despite his scorching end to last season with the Rams, and he finally finds a landing spot in Detroit. The Lions were looking to add a secondary option behind starter Kerryon Johnson, and Anderson is a perfect fit as someone to help wear down defenses for Matt Patricia’s defensive-minded approach. Anderson might work his way into FLEX consideration if he gets enough touches per week, but Johnson will clearly be the Lions running back to own in fantasy leagues for 2019.

Duke Johnson Jr. has requested a trade, according to cleveland.com.
This felt like an inevitability from the moment Kareem Hunt signed in Cleveland, as the Browns are completely stacked at the position with Hunt and Nick Chubb alone. Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com says the Jets, Texans, and Eagles have all been interested in Johnson “since the Browns signed running back Kareem Hunt.” However, since the Browns added Hunt, the Jets signed Le’Veon Bell and the Eagles traded for Jordan Howard to solidify their running back groups, so those two teams might be out for Johnson’s services. Johnson did not report to the first day of the Browns offseason program, and it’s likely only a matter of time before he’s traded after defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah was already dealt to the Chiefs earlier today. It is worth noting that new Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens says the team wants to keep Johnson, so we’ll see what happens. Johnson’s dynasty value would be higher elsewhere.

The Jaguars signed Alfred Blue.
After Blue spent six seasons in Houston as a sixth-round pick out of LSU in the 2014 NFL Draft, he’s going over to the AFC South rival Jaguars. Blue is an all-around running back that can play all three downs, as is evident from the fact that he stuck around for six years with the Texans. In Jacksonville, Blue will compete with Thomas Rawls, David Williams, and potentially a rookie for the No. 2 role behind Leonard Fournette.

The Browns have waived Ricardo Louis, according to Ian Rapoport.
Louis missed the 2018 season with a neck injury, but the former fourth-round pick combined to catch 45 passes for 562 yards over his first two years in the league. Having just turned 25, Louis should be able to find a new home soon.

Luke Willson has signed with the Raiders.
The veteran spent last season with the Lions, catching 13 passes for 87 scoreless yards. However, Willson has some talent, and he should have a chance to carve out a meaningful role for Oakland if they don’t spend a Day 1 or Day 2 pick on the position. This is a good landing spot for his dynasty stock.
