Join now >Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) is throwing, Niners GM John Lynch says.
Lynch was on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said that he looked outside his office the other day and saw his franchise quarterback throwing to running back Jerick McKinnon, who is also coming off a torn ACL. Obviously, Jimmy G could’ve just been standing there tossing the ball without much effort, but it’s still a good sign that he’s out there and putting in some work at the facility not even four months after tearing his ACL in Week 3 against the Chiefs. Garoppolo might be ready for offseason training, but he should be ready for training camp at the very latest. San Francisco, a team that’s been speculated as a potential suitor for All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown, looks set to add more weapons around Garoppolo this offseason, which would give his fantasy outlook a boost heading into 2019.

Josh Adams gets zero touches in playoff loss.
Adams didn’t seem to see an offensive snap, as Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles handled all the work out of the backfield. The undrafted rookie isn’t a lock to make the roster in 2019, but it’s worth noting that he was banged up down the stretch. Philadelphia seems like a team that could spend money in free agency or invest a high draft pick in a running back this offseason.

Todd Gurley (knee) was officially a limited participant in today’s practice.
Gurley is fully expected to be ready to go for Saturday night’s Divisional Round matchup against the Cowboys, but this limited practice indicates he isn’t quite 100% yet. Hopefully Gurley is up to a full participant tomorrow or Thursday, but we’ll keep you updated. Rams head coach Sean McVay already said C.J. Anderson is going to continue having a solid role even as Gurley returns, which could keep the 2018 Offensive Player of the Year fresh and healthy for the postseason.

Taylor Gabriel caught four passes for 37 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Eagles.
Gabriel also rushed twice for 20 yards. It was a little surprising to see Chicago air it out 43 times in Mitchell Trubisky’s first playoff game, but Gabriel (nine targets) and Allen Robinson (143 yards and a score on 13 targets) were both featured as the team’s top receivers. “Turbo” will be pushed by Anthony Miller as the No. 2 option in 2019, so he will be just a late-round flier for fantasy owners as things currently stand.

The Niners hope Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) will be ready for OTAs.
Niners GM John Lynch told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on the “Rapsheet and Friends” podcast that the team is “hopeful [Garoppolo is] going to be able to take part in our OTAs. This comes a day after Lynch said Garoppolo was throwing the football to running back Jerick McKinnon, so it sounds like Garoppolo’s recovery and rehab is going great. Expect San Francisco’s franchise quarterback to be out there sometime this spring, but he should be 100% well ahead of training camp if not.

Alvin Kamara gets 20 touches in Saints’ playoff win.
Kamara had 16 carries for 71 yards along with four reception for 35 yards in the Divisional Round victory over the Eagles. The Eagles played pretty well against the run, but Kamara did a nice job of finding holes and picking up positive yardage throughout the win. With a Super Bowl berth on the line, look for Kamara to get another 20+ touches in the NFC Championship Game next Sunday against the Rams.

Spencer Ware (hamstring) was officially a limited participant in today’s practice.
Ware was a full practice participant to end the regular season, so this is a slight surprise; but perhaps the Chiefs are just taking it easy with Ware to start the week. Ideally, he’ll get up to a full practice tomorrow.
