Jordan Matthews | Panthers TE

Jordan Matthews catches two passes in Week 16.

Matthews gained 13 yards on his two receptions against the Texans—a screen pass and a slant route. Matthews is not a recommended fantasy option to end the season next week against the Redskins.

Golden Tate | Free Agent WR

Golden Tate catches two passes in Week 16.

Tate gained 13 yards on his two receptions versus the Texans. The veteran receiver has put up inconsistent numbers with the Eagles, but he had 85 yards and a touchdown in his first matchup against his next opponent, the Redskins.

Dallas Goedert | Eagles TE

Dallas Goedert catches three passes against the Texans.

Goedert gained 30 yards on his three Week 16 receptions. The rookie tight end remains a stronger real-life contributor than fantasy asset for now.

Alshon Jeffery | Free Agent WR

Alshon Jeffery catches three passes in Eagles’ win.

Jeffery gained 82 yards on his three Week 16 receptions against the Texans, including a 52-yard reception. Nick Foles again gave his big receiver opportunities to make plays down the field, and the two connected on a key reception for a first down on the game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. This was a strong showing for Jeffery, especially with Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz each going over 100 yards. Next up, Jeffery faces a Redskins team that limited him to 31 yards earlier this season, but Foles isn’t going to shy away from giving him chances to make plays no matter who (potentially Josh Norman) is covering him.

12/24/18 - 10:02 AM ET

Zach Ertz | Commanders TE

Zach Ertz scores twice against the Texans.

Ertz caught 12 passes (on 16 targets) for 110 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 16 victory. The 12 catches helped Ertz shatter Jason Witten’s single-season receptions record for a tight end, surpassing Witten’s 110 receptions with 113 and one game remaining. With no Carson Wentz, who loves throwing to Ertz, under-center, it was great to see Ertz again show a strong connection with Nick Foles. Ertz remains an elite TE1 option to conclude the regular season next week against Washington.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

Mo Alie-Cox held without a catch in Week 16 win.

He was targeted once, but Alie-Cox is suddenly on the fantasy radar in Frank Reich’s offense if Eric Ebron (concussion) can’t get cleared for the season finale. We’ll have updates throughout the week.

12/24/18 - 09:57 AM ET

Nelson Agholor | Free Agent WR

Nelson Agholor goes off in Eagles’ Week 16 win.

Agholor caught five passes for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Texans, with the score coming on an 83-yard deep ball on an absolute dime from Nick Foles. It was a beautiful throw, but Agholor showed great concentration coming up with the over-the-shoulder catch. The fourth-year receiver has this type of gamebreaking ability, and it’s good to see him come up clutch in another big game for the defending Super Bowl champs. It was especially good to see Agholor used this way against a Houston defense that’s struggled to contain fast, explosive receivers like him. Agholor remains a much bette real-life contributor for Philadelphia than a consistent fantasy option, but his great ability gives him weekly upside like he showed in the victory.
