Join now >Taquan Mizzell catches one pass in Bears’ win.
Mizzell’s lone reception went for five yards. This was the first career catch for the 2017 undrafted running back, so congrats to him on the feat. Mizzell will look to work his way into a large role in Chicago’s backfield, but he’s not a fantasy option right now.

Trey Burton scores in Week 9.
Burton got wide-open for a touchdown in the flat against the Bills, and overall he had two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. At the midway point in his first season with the Bears, Burton is on pace for a 58/742/10 line, so it’s been a solid start for the former Eagle. Burton and the Bears play the Lions in Week 10.

Taylor Gabriel catches three passes against the Bills.
Gabriel gained 45 yards on hie three receptions (five targets) in the Bears’ Week 9 win. Through eight games, Gabriel is on pace for 74 receptions, 852 yards, and four touchdowns; but he’s had 52 yards or under in the two games he didn’t have over 100 yards receiving. The veteran receiver faces the Lions in Week 10.

Bills limit Tarik Cohen in Week 9.
Jordan Howard scored twice, but overall Buffalo did a nice job of limiting Chicago’s run game, and Cohen in particular was shut down. Cohen carried six times for five yards and added one reception (on two targets) for eight yards. The second-year running back will look to have a bigger game next week against the Lions. Through eight games, “The Human Joystick” is on pace for 98 carries, 458 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 62 receptions, 812 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns.

Anthony Miller leads the Bears in Week 9 receiving.
Miller caught five passes (on six targets) for 49 yards and added one carry for nine yards against the Bills. The rookie receiver is still looking to crack 50 yards receiving in a game, but there’s little question he has a bright future. He’ll look to put together big performances in the second half of the season, starting next week against the Lions.

Jordan Howard scores twice against the Bills.
This was a game that set up nicely for Howard, as the Bears were heavy favorites and ended up blowing out the Bills. Howard had 14 carries for 47 yards and two touchdowns, with the first score coming at the goal line and the second score coming on an 18-yard carry where he ran over a defender. At the midway point in the season, Howard is on pace for 252 carries, 878 rushing yards, ten rushing touchdowns, 22 receptions, and 174 receiving yards. Ten rushing touchdowns would be a career-high, but the yardage is obviously much lower than the two-time 1,100-yard back’s first two seasons. Howard’s usage has been up and down in Matt Nagy’s offense, but fantasy owners just need to hope he’s fed the ball more as the weather gets colder.

Mitchell Trubisky throws one touchdown in Bears’ win.
Trubisky wasn’t asked to do much in Chicago’s blowout win against Buffalo, especially with the Bears scoring two defensive touchdowns. The second-year quarterback was 12/20 for 135 yards, one touchdown, and one interception along with one carry for six yards. The touchdown was on a short pass to the flat to a wide-open Trey Burton, and the interception was on an inaccurate deep pass intended for Burton. Through eight games, Trubisky is on pace for 3,898 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and 14 interceptions along with 82 carries for 496 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. He’s been inconsistent to this point, but Trubisky offers enough weekly upside to be in the QB1 conversation most weeks.
