Brate (four targets) continues to take a backseat to O.J. Howard, who was second on the team with nine targets, and he also lost a fumble that set Cleveland up in Tampa Bay territory, but it fortunately resulted in a turnover on downs. The Harvard product is a weekly touchdown threat, but he’s not a recommended fantasy play next Sunday against the Bengals.

Frank Gore gets 11 touches in Week 7.
Gore carried ten times for 29 yards and added one reception (on one target) for four yards against the Lions. Detroit did a good job of bottling up Gore, who again received more work than Kenyan Drake (six carries, 72 yards, touchdown) on the ground, not giving the veteran running back much room to run. Gore now faces the Texans on a short week, and Drake is the preferred option in fantasy lineups for Week 8.

Adam Humphries sees eight targets in win over the Browns.
Humphries hauled in half of them for 37 yards. The Clemson product is splitting time with Chris Godwin and DeSean Jackson behind Mike Evans, but he seems to have the most stable role since Jameis Winston took over as the starter. Still, Humphries doesn’t carry enough upside to seriously consider outside of deeper leagues heading into a matchup with the Bengals.

Kenyon Drake breaks long touchdown against the Lions.
Drake broke a 54-yard touchdown on a play where he exploded through a crease and was off to the races down the sideline before throwing a stiff-arm to get into the end zone. It’s the type of gamebreaking play Drake has shown he’s capable of making throughout his career. Overall, Drake had six carries (compared to Frank Gore’s ten) for 72 yards and a touchdown along with four receptions (on a team-high eight targets) for 15 yards. Gore gained just 29 yards on his ten attempts in the game, so perhaps the Dolphins will get Drake more touches on the ground this Thursday night against the Texans. Drake is at least a FLEX option for Week 8.

Chris Godwin has a respectable day in win over the Browns.
Godwin caught five passes (on six targets) for 59 yards as Tampa Bay improved to 3-3. The second-year wideout has been a solid intermediate target for Jameis Winston over the past two weeks, but we’d like to see the Bucs get him more involved on downfield throws to really unlock his potential. Plus, Godwin continues splitting time with Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson, which caps his breakout potential and leaves him on the FLEX radar for a Week 8 matchup with the Bengals.
10/22/18 - 11:28 AM ET
O.J. Howard caught five passes for 67 yards in Sunday’s win over the Browns.
Howard’s nine targets trailed just Mike Evans (11), and he’s clearly the tight end to own in Tampa Bay no matter who is under center. The Alabama product—who is averaging 17.6 yards per reception—remains a solid TE1 option for Week 8 against the Bengals.

Brock Osweiler throws two touchdowns in Dolphins’ loss.
Osweiler was 22/31 for 239 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions, with the scores going to Kenny Stills (five yards) and Danny Amendola (24 yards). The touchdown to Amendola was an absolute dime on the run, getting the Dolphins to within one possession in the fourth quarter. Osweiler is playing well while filling in for Ryan Tannehill, and he’s likely to get another start this Thursday night against the Texans. There’s obviously some risk placing him in fantasy lineups because he has a zero-point floor if things go south, but he might not be a bad option against his former team.
